I’ve heard this outside of trading, moreso with just bad luck situations. Like losing your wallet, getting a speeding ticket and dropping your mobile phone all in the same day.
I have always thought that three was a lucky number.

Yes they have. I just happen to be surrounded by a couple of traders with Chinese lineage and this is what they told me.
