Trading using ICT-suggested tools

Hi ICT lovers and ICT haters!

The purpose of this thread is to take an account and trade it using techniques which the late ICT advocated as being profitable. Since I’d rather not risk a large amount of money on such a reckless endeavour, I think it’s best that I either use a demo account, or a small live account. I’ll link it to myfxbook, of course, so that the eventual outcome is evident to all.

Just to clear up any confusion, I am extremely well-versed in ICT techniques because I followed them for longer than I am willing to confess. So please don’t come here with disparaging comments about how I am going to deliberately apply the tools incorrectly, because if you do, you’ll find yourself floating home.

Obviously I’m gonna reply… Can you outline a plan? Or are you just gonna random tool it? Or just trade whatever tools pop up?

Well, given the manner in which ICT provided the tools, it makes little sense to actually write out a plan of how each trade will be executed. That goes back to the whole subjectivity part of it. Regardless, I will use the following:

 • Market Structure
 • Market Flow
 • SMT Divergence
 • Stochastic Divergence
 • USDX Divergence
 • COT (on an exceptionally high level)
 • Bonds (on an exceptionally high level)
 • Fibonacci retracements (in all their different variations, like OTE, reflection etc)
 • Killzones
 • Pivot Points
 • ADR
 • Judas Swings
 • Support and Resistance

I think that about covers it. I won’t use the Trader’s Trinity because I see virtually no value in it. I also won’t use anything which ICT posted during his blow-up, because at that stage I paid very little attention to the videos. Feel free to point out anything I may have missed.

The idea would be to cherry-pick trades of a high probability nature, so please let’s keep the whining to a minimum if it takes days to enter a trade.

I think support and resistance should be top of the list. When ull trade post the pictures to see if u are realy using them correctly

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again:
You are ICT.
This thread is all the proof I need.

His grammar’s too good.

Lol. Now that was convincing!
You can carry on now, I’ll leave you alone.
(Die antwoord is nee, ek woon nie in SA nie ).

Let me clear the water here.

I am not ICT, otherwise I wouldn’t waste so much time talking in a language that most Americans would never have heard of, and which is not so easily translated with Google translate.
Nor am I AK, who I find particularly immature with his frequent outbursts on this forum, which serve literally no purpose other than to expose his own insecurities.
I am also not PureMuscle or dpaterso. As much as I value my fellow compatriots, I do not share any association with either of them.
Like I said at the very start, I am a long-time user on BabyPips, but I never bothered to take the time to create an account. Why must one create an account in order to make use of the forums?

I would like to do this exercise purely for the sake of showing what happens when you use ICT tools as your basis for trading. That’s it. NOTHING else.

Ja, dis nou lekker. Jy weet dat jy met 'n Suid-Afrikaner praat as hy iets sê wat op Google translate verskyn as “kill lightning”! LOL

I agree with this, top down analysis of s&r is the first thing. When s&r is done right it’s mahvelus dahling simply mahvelus

and you missed the asian range. you’ll need it, especially since you said you would use judas swings

Hahaha, since when did you become gay?

Yes, 100% agreed. I missed that one!

The list is not written in order of importance though guys. Gosh, reading into things so much already!

Kuzia: Just realise though, if I enter a trade which ends up being a loss, and multiple ICT criteria are met for that particular entry, I am not going to go into some kind of argument about some random other ICT component that suggested the trade would fail. In that case, anyone applying ICT tools would literally never enter a trade, because let’s be honest, the likelihood of all of those items aligning is almost the same as that of a shark attacking you on dry land.

It was a language shoved down my throat and I’ll always treat it as such, now lets leave it at that. Carry on with your thread , I’m done here

Ah, you’re one of the many white emigrants then I presume? I never really took you for a South African, but perhaps that’s because you never wanted anyone to

wow, what is this language called again? does it differ from dutch a lot? i dont speak dutch, but i can pretty much understand what you are saying, because dutch and german have some similarities. funny world

I prefer a level of privacy, and you presume too much. Looks like you are still pretty much hung up on race though , keep it up , how many years are we into democracy, never mind.

Well all the best in your journey My Good Sir ;)

Afrikaans, my friend. Afrikaans is a blend of Dutch, German and other languages, so it explains why you can make sense of most of it

Ouch… I don’t think that was called for… Oh well, I guess you are also guilty of presuming too much. I have no racial issues whatsoever (I don’t come from an Afrikaans background), but thanks for the comments nevertheless. I just don’t see many “people of colour” emigrating from South Africa, and add to that your comment regarding Afrikaans having been “shoved down your throat”, so I assumed you must be white. I apologise sincerely for the misunderstanding.

Why, thank you kind sir!
