Trend system

hi i have been using this system for quite a long time and it really works .ok here is the system

only 2 moving averages EMA 7 yellow color EMA 14 red color .
GBP/JPY time period daily .first we have to go on daily chart and see yellow EMA crossed red EMA like it is in progress in present time bullish market.ok so on daily chart market trend is down so we will luk after that the last candle on daily chart should b bullish on a bullish trend and if it is a bearish trend then last candle shud b bearish so we r now lukin at bullish trend with bullish last candle.then we move to 4 hour chart and we only ave to make sure 4 hour chart is also bullish yellow EMA crossing down to red EMA.

then we move to one hour chart and make sure market is also bulish .if market is bullish on one hour chart then we move to our final process which is 5 minutes chart.now everytime u will notice when yellow ema crosses red ema it will go down many pips so everytime when it crosses we can get into trade and make pips.

if market is bearish then same opposite procress

there are few questions still needs to be asked like when to exit and alsohow to get ride of false signals if we combine any other indicator with these so we can pick up best signals but we will work it out together thanks

Hmm… that looks very close to the system that I was using when I first started out.
Like you, I find it difficult to determine the end of the trend and where to put the SL.

I have tried various indicators.

You can use RSI to determine the direction of the trend as a confirmation of your EMA crosses.
Once the RSI changes direction from the trend you are looking at, that is an indicator that the trend you entered your trade in is losing its steam.

The other good indicator is the ADX. As long as there is a trend, you will see the line sloping up. And it will always slope up regardless of a LONG or SHORT trend. Once the slope upwards changes to down, that signals the end of a trend.

I have evolved from just using trendlines to using a series of indicators.
You can check out my system. The indicators described there would be great as a compliment to the strategy you just described.
