I use MT4/5 to backtesting. I create EA for backtesting. Since it’s difficult to use EA to backtest, I only get the stats, not the profit.
But I do have certain patterns can be traded with EA. I’m not selling EA, neither an intention to. I wish no others will make trouble for this statements.
Back testing manually won’t be accurate. You have to use fix rule for back testing.
TV is not a good platform for back testing.
You can see how I create EA in my YT, that’s how I do RND to find best way to trade.
By the same method we can optimize our trading rule to deal with an instrument and finally create a profitable EA.

Note: everyday I will create or test my hypotheses at least one. By this way, we can fine tune and see clearly how a pattern work. I have no time yet to create the YT, but I will upload some, when there is time 
YT is fun, but it takes time. I’m not so serious in YT, but I love to share with others.
