TYG's Story: Thoughts, Trades and Technicality

I wanted to ask is there a way to backtest on MT5 or Ctrader? ive been using TV but i want to switch over to MT5 and CTRADER for MTF

Hi @tomo22,

This one is correct. We have to wait the incoming phase after.

When we have drop or rally. We have to look, in which area the price is moving to. From here we look for the liquidity zone. It can be any timeframe.

From liquidity zone, we do mapping to all possible scenarios. From here, we can oversee what going to happens.
I will soon live … I can show you how to do it from a very beginning.

Unfortunately, we can’t. Just use TV as long as you can. But, for open position, just do it in cTrader of MT5. I’m using TV just for making content.

If we are living in US or UK, I guess, there is no such problem, because their infrastructures are somewhere near those countries. But still, my past incidents with TV, make me uneasy.

If you like TV, that will be fine. You can try ICMarkets TV account, it’s actually cTrader. Or Vantage Market, it’s a MT5 account. You still can use TV to analysis, but your position will go to cTrader or MT5. If there is emergency with TV, you still can manage your positions by using cTrader or MT5.

okay sounds good!, thank you.

yes what i pick up from this is wait for drop or rally to occur then through PA we can notice if reversal is going to occur through LH LL inside the gaps range

Hi @tomo22

There you go! You can see it. When there is DBR or RBD on HTF, it’s usually a reversal. Under LTF, it can be an early reversal when it’s happen in certain area.

Yes. It’s rough GAP. GBPUSD like to play rough
It’s a decisive, since it makes direction.
Indecisive gap mostly happens during sideways, in particular when market in divergence / convergence pattern. Look at USDCAD. So when you have market outlook … moving sideways, careful with the gap inside. Not always, but mostly

thank you for the help! wouldnt have been able to done it without you.

I wanted to ask what do we pair with FVG can we use SNR? or is it now Liquidity (bs and ss)

Hi @tomo22,

We use all of them.

Here is my live trading for London Session. I only show the plan, not my trade.
Plotting a position need to combine money management and strategy.

Basically trading plan is the foundation before we step into designing strategy

hi @TYGMedia, thank you for the stream!

i have a few questions in regards to your stream.

1.) where did you learn to trade like this? was it from AL brooks books?

2.) when you were marking GAP/FVG 1D how come your gap from the third candles wick and not the first candles

3.) through out your analysis you were marking swing highs and lows with a yellow dotten horizontal line is this SNR?

Hi @tomo22,

  1. my trading philosophy is Price Action. But the style is based on my own experience. You need to apply it in your own way. As long as you understand PS properly, it doesn’t matter how you use it.

  2. The gap is abour market range. You can’t conclude thing by look at only one candle.
I told before the real gap is the gap between 2 bases. By using this reason, from lower TF, we can see the range. The range could be seen after 3rd daily candle.
Remember the basic is still H and L, Market Range, Phase and Pattern. No other. Every single of them build the complete story.

  3. When you understand principle of High and Low, the rest will self explanatory. The yellow dotted line is also SnR. It was broken, from Support became Resistance.

Thoughts: What’s Wrong With Those People?

Many times I got insulted by some typical persons, open a discussion, when we help them. turns back they make scene to make harassment. What’s wrong with them?

It seems that being active in a forum will be accused as trying to scam people. Making YouTube channel is also wrong. So, the question is, as a trader, am I forbidden to be active in forum? Am I not allowed to have YouTube Channel? Is it really the truth, trader who has youtube channel and active in forum is a scammer?

I have hop from one community to another, there are always some people take away my joy for sharing. What’s wrong them?

Again this is one of the example:

Can people nowadays be more respectful? Or now, we don’t need to be polite anymore. In a public forum, when there is question, I just want to help by sharing what I know. There is no thanks, but insulting and degrading with unrelated thing.

I gave prove, without any intention to sell something here. Even my youtube channel is used for sharing knowledge. I have no intention to look for follower. Since, trading is a very boring … extremely boring activity, I like to explore something different to make it more interesting. But still there are some irresponsible person screw all my efforts.

It’s better to stop communicate with stranger. Stop to be nice people, helping around.
To be nice person will be degraded. Facing them very difficult, as they smart enough to switch the fact, playing victim and hurting others innocently.

I think, soon or later, I will leave BabyPips for good, being silent trader forever.
I understand now, why most of expert trader doesn’t willing to share anything.

It’s not worthy to help stranger anymore. I limit myself to communicate with only good friends here. When situation is getting worse … I will quit.

I will be active more in other media. I’m not trying to be mentor. Nothing to be sold. I don’t make click bait with my youtube channel. No IB link is shared related to me. Still those garbage people are brainlessly blind.

Note: I have asked permission from moderator to share my youtube link here. I am allowed as long as there is no marketing and advertising material. I have helped many others develop EA free without payment. Many also did consultation privately, without commercial charged, only because I love to help.

Thank you very much!

hi @TYGMedia

I just want to say that your contributions to the community have been incredibly valuable. There will always be negative people who misunderstand or misjudge intentions, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that many people appreciate and benefit from what you share.

The unfortunate truth is that some people love to criticize just for the sake of it, and no matter what you do, they’ll find a way to twist things. But the silent majority—the ones who learn from your insights—might not always speak up, even though they appreciate your efforts.

try and ignore those who are mean and rude to you, theres no need to give energy/reactions towards people who arent going to respect you because they dont deserve that.

Try and focus on the majority who appreciate your insight and help such as myself and others and ignore the minority who hate, this is applicable in life too. Don’t leave BP because we all value your infomation and feedback, however the choice is always yours.

Hi @tomo22, thanks for your support and appreciation. I means a lot for me.

I’m not the most experince trader here, I always want to learn from others. I learn from others mistakes and questions. Those challenge me to review my trading rule, try to find out the flaws with my current methodology.

When I try to give solution to others, I’m actually evaluating if others problem can be solved by using mine. So helping others are actually helping my self, I have been doing it since 2011. This is how I improve my self. So instead of beating others, whining for unluckiness, I choose to this methodology to keep learning.

As a trader, I have to adapt to current market situation. I’m very thirsty with new trading perspectives. Many great traders are so helping, reading their posts can give many new ideas. Sometime I responded to their idea, I want to go deeper on how they solve the situation by using their idea. The same thing when others asked me, I give response as a challenges to my methodology. So, I’m very welcome with all question that focus on a topic, as long as it’s not a tricky things to lead the question to beat or harassing people. They are brainless cheap person.

I will be very selective, when I want to response to others. Let see how long I can survive in here.

no worries!
does gap work on other instruments or do we have to test that ourselves?

my thoughts

does DBR, RBD always mean reversal?

here on same instrument 4hr TF a few days before the live stream market follows same pattern base drop base rally base, however, then continues to drop after the previous base

is this not trend continuation. or does it actually have to be base Drop and rally where no base is evident. what i mean is this.

excuse the terrible drawing

also i have read your story many times before, if you dont mind me asking how did you achieve 800,000 in 2 years :astonished: was it agressive trading?

@TYGMedia, I experienced the same attitude from the forum members while active on Babypips from 2017 to 2020. And that was the reason to quit Babypips in 2020.

Mostly, these types of people are arrogant, toxic, and egotic, who enjoy criticizing and posting disrespectful comments on other members’ threads/posts.

Just ignore these people. They are doing their job, you should focus on yours.

Keep posting good info. Best of luck.

hi @Sufshiken, i was going to ask if thats okay what are your thoughts on GAP (FVG)? is it somewhat or similar to TYG’s idea where its between two bases?

Hi @Sufshiken, thanks for your appreciation. Nowadays, good friend is hard to find, but enemies are abundant.

The same reason I left few communities in telegram, after harassing and accusing me to sell something. They can’t think of reason why I share something for free. Perhaps, it was similar with yours in Babypips 2017 to 2020.

I will only post in my own thread now. I won’t comment on stranger post anymore. Just enjoying sharing here.

Thanks for your advices.  really appreciate them.

Hi @tomo22

@TYGMedia is a more knowledgeable and experienced trader than me. I didn’t read his previous posts on FVGs, so I can’t comment on his idea of two bases.

However, we all know that when the price of an asset is overvalued or undervalued, then an imbalance is created between buyers and sellers (demand and supply), which is seen on the chart as a gap.

The market rebalances these price gaps (imbalance) by retesting and pulling back or filling these gaps.

There are three types of Gaps (FVGs) created:

1- The larger center candle in between bigger 1st and 3rd candlesticks.
In this case, most of the time the price doesn’t return near to or within the FVG zone, and continues the direction of the trend without touching the FVG.

2- The larger center candle with a Pin bar on 3rd candlestick.
There is more probability that the price will disrespect the FVG and surpass upward or downward.

3- The larger center candle in between two small candles on both sides.
More probability of retesting the FVGs and pulling back in the direction of the trend by respecting its 50% zone.

The most valid FVGs are created after the break of SnR, SH/SL (BOS).

Sometimes, gaps are created due to abrupt news or economic events.

This is what I learned, which might be wrong.

Hi @tomo22 … the answer is decisive, just like the answer of a bride during holy matrimony.
Yes, I do …

The problem is on which TF the RBD or DBR is happening.

On your picture, you are actually looking at HTF. the base was happened too fast, unnoticeable. Usually it happens during continuation.

If you are referring to this one, it’s an example of a gap that’s decisive but rough.

It’s actually GAP on HTF, initiated by institution. The retail speculation area can’t be seen.
When we zoom in, we could see, how many bases were created.

I used 4k USD as my initial capital. I hit big and compound, My target was 1 million at that time. I did scalping, around 15 times a day. Method was price action. The principle was correct, but MM and Risk management were deadly wrong.

Hi @Sufshiken,

Even our perspectives are different, but we are referring to the same thing.
You are focusing on candle, when I’m focusing on price movement.

I will try out your methodology for comparison. Probably I can find something interesting to fine tune my methodology.

Thanks @Sufshiken … really appreciate it
