Fairly new to fx trading, I am hoping to learn more by joining a community. I find the isolation and not being
able to bounce my ideas off people is my main problem.
Is there a teamspeak server people can join?
Can anyone recommend a really easy strategy to follow ?
Welcome on board, let me assist you telling that you are on the right place to learn however you need some time taking a look at babypips school. Don’t hesitate asking any queries that you might have in your mind. Good Luck!
Hi abandonship - The isolation is a challenge and a surprise to some. It can even lead to a closed-mind attitude towards your own developing trading strategies and preferences. There can be nobody available to take a broader perspective on what you’re doing, and it can become easy to make an unconscious conclusion that what you’re doing must be right because its what you’re doing. Its healthy to find sources which question what you’re doing, rather than just confirm.
As for strategies, there are innumerable. First though, decide if you want to exit trades the same day so as not to hold overnight, or if you’re prepared to run them further out.
After that, my personal view is there are only two types of trade - break-out or trend-following. Both can be profitable, both can work in any time-frame. Most people feel more comfortable working either one or the other.
Thanks for your reply. I don’t want to hold trades overnight. Could you recommend any good learning material for break-out or trend-following strategies?
