you might want to try reducing the number of indicators that you use… or try doing away with all of them and see what happens.
if you prefer trading with 5 minute charts, try monitoring it with a higher timeframe chart, say 1 hour or Daily, to keep things in perspective.
Fundamentals and market sentiment can help. it all depends on how you assimilate information.

Hi All.

I have a question (maybe a silly one).

What does it mean when an entry rule of a method states: enter at the 18 day moving average oin a limit? I looked at the accompanying chart and it has plotted the 18 day MA nicely, but the entry is way above the 18 day MA and was filled on or around the open the day after the limit wass placed. I thought that this meant that the entry is made at the level of the 18 day MA. Obviously my interpretation is wrong. Can anyone advise please?

Reading your question about 18 Day moving average and why people enter above the MA 18 Day,
I cannot get what you ask because no chart, How far the price from the moving average? is it 2,3,4,5 pips?
What is the time frame used? and what pair you trade? how big is the spread?

I can only guess, you see the entry filled way above 18 Day MA because the spread was big

Looks like that you’re using too many indicators and tools. Try to reduce some of them to see which ones really help you.

Yes use of too many indicators make you confused you are weak in making your own analysis . Your efforts are limited to see market and think how to find trend. Some times traders act blindly on indicators. See where is mistake . Try to manage trades manually for good practice
