So I loaded up my trading program on Sunday evening and was pretty surprised by what I saw. Just before the market opened for the week the EUR/USD pair dropped from 1.4835 to 1.4035 within 5 minutes and then then shot back up almost to the opening price within another 5. I’ve seen some pretty big swings when the market reopens after a weekend break, but nothing of that magnitude before. What causes a huge drop drop like that?
