In the past few years, I have been hearing a lot about forex and it’s potential. I’ve seen those advertisements on tv for the forex software that supposedly helps you make the best possible choices. I’ve been thinking about starting out with forex, but the truth is that I have never invested a single penny into anything. I’ve heard that you must invest through a broker or a bank, but when I did some research of my own I found that there have been many scams in the forex industry. I also noticed that many people are now using online software. How does that work? What is the best way to start out with forex investing?
My first question is… 1 Are you blind ? or 2 Are you just that lazy ?
First , I’m not a suitable person to answer many of your question , there are many good people that can help much better than myself because I’m still a novice…
Only a few things I can tell you i.First it’s that this website as many has an educational feature(Go to SCHOOL menu) which can give you the basic information you need.
So first thing you need to do is learn ,nothing more. LEarning proccess will take a time , longer or shorter time depends on your commitment, dedication and intelligence. Do not expect a magical formula to earn money , always think that this path is not made with luck but only with day by day effort.
Do not put money to play like when we play lottery , you can loose everything .
Forex like many ways of investments has a lot of possibilities but the probabilities are created after and only after : learning , experiencing and
persistence.
Good luck.
Best place to start is the Babypips school >
Everything you need to get started is there! Read through all of it, and then read it again, and then maybe a couple more times for fun. Good luck!
Beat me to it! Good show.
LOL - herein lies the problem for so many
You should know that the only people that get scammed are lazy people looking for easy answers and fast money. So yeah, I see why you are pretty scared of scams
awesome lol…it’s hard to fool an intelligent being, even if you’ve no expereince in the subject matter.
It’s called research and homework…works wonders…try it
those software wont make u riches… if it can… the creator would be in hawali chasing chickens!
What’s with some of you people? Yes, I know that there is a “SCHOOL” section on this site, and no, I’m not lazy or blind. The reason why I asked that question is so that I could know if most people just read the “SCHOOL” section or if they did that in addition to something else (like one of those practice accounts). You people don’t have to be so snooty whenever someone asks a question.
I recommend that you start with Pipschool , learning the basics and only after ,start practicing with a Demo acount using any of the trading systems until you find the one that is more suitablle for you .DO not spend money buying books or other source because you can find many Forex ebooks or pdf files , in the Internet or via P2P.
Remember nobody has 100 % of the truth…but it is up to you to understand the remarks that I gave you in my first email before you experience it at first hand . So learn first the basics , practice on a DEMO and continue learning with your practice .
Good luck.
SOOO you already know the answer to your question Yes read the school and you will know enough to give you an idea on how to get started. And regardless of what your mother told you, there are pointless questions
I agree with you, mikekazik1! People on this forum are snooty sometimes!
Just like you I’ve started with a vague idea about Forex.
There are advertisements that tell you - its so easy, just put your money in the account and buy low and sell high, its 100% fail proof - just do it!
I had attended seminars where companies sell software and training packages to people that have no idea what investment is!
They say- Pay us $10 000 and you will have an unlimited income for the rest of your life!
It sounds so easy with the entire- buy/sell signals on the big screen TV.
So you think youve been missing something. Working all these hours at a JOB
You should be living the life, like these other guys.
Well, as you will find out with time, they failed to tell you about some staggering statistics!
Some 95% of all Forex traders fail, they loose all their money.
Some start over, some cant!
I believe that training currencies is just like any business.
If you ever considered opening any kind of business, then you know that being a business owner has many benefits.
Forex can be a very lucrative business. You probably heard - that hard work - pays off!
Before you start, ask yourself a few questions:
- Would I open a business, like a pet shop, without any prior knowledge about Pets?
- Would I trust a person that claims to be experience with pets to run my shop? Or just give him my money; let him operate and hope for success?
- Do I like pets? Am I allergic to pets?
I hope this analogy helps!
I started my first demo account on fxcm.com and forex.com.
Off and on for 2 years.
You can also try oanda.com ,I like them better.
I did the Babypips school!
Its rated as the best Free Forex education source on the internet!
Started demo, but went live right away.
I felt emotionally disconnected from the reality when I did demo!
If you have any more questions let me know!
hey.
To be fair too many newbies come on and ask vague questions along the lines of where do i start??
So to help you out as much as we can, it would be better to be a little more specific, such as what you have done, have you actually been through the school, etc
Also if you have specific questions.
I dont think anybody is being snooty on purpose, but if you look on the forum the same question has been asked almost 100 times and the same people keep answering in the same manner.
If someone has a specific question that i know the answer to they will get and answer that trys to help them!
I like this forum so lets keep it the warm welcoming place it was when i came here.
N
Totally agree with aftab…The real reason we are all in this forum is to share some ideas about forex…I think it is normal for the newcomers to ask some blurry questions because they didn’t really sure how to ask a specific questions in their head…
I’M SORRY to be ****. But I’m just answering an over obvious question. If you spent 15 min reading the school, you would know where to start. I’m still a newbie myself but I’m profitable on live account. I’ll outline my process to becoming a forex trader.
- Invested in equities (unhappy with the rate of return vs the risk ( at best 20 % a year ?!?!?!?) Kept learning about investing, ( 1 College, 2 Familiy 3 CNBC;LOL 4. Ivestopedia,ETC)
- Heard of forex
- Googled forex ; learned of babypips.com
- Learnt the school
- Demo’d the shiit outa demo accounts
- And now I’m at 10 pips a day on average
The only reason I’m pompous sounding is because I’m very strict on my self and others. Forex is a market you can easily get taken advantage of if you don’t know what your doing, just read the school and you should know where to go from there. IF YOUR STILL LOST AFTER THE SCHOOL… DONT TRADE… SAVE YOUR MONEY AND INVEST IN SOMETHING ELSE… MAYBE OLD NES GAMES… ANYTHING BUT FOREX… BABYPIPS LAYS IT OUT TO THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR… SOME AREN’T MEANT TO TRADE… THATS MY TWO CENTS/QUID
Anyways good luck and just PLZ PLZ read the forum and you should see some answers to your questions
