I think it was about a year ago where I lost about 200 dollars when I had $500 capital. I was risking an insane amount with no stop loss.
Then I learned about technical analysis.

Short and sweet, my first trade was a loser.
My first trade live that is. After entering, it really hits you for the first time after a demo that this is really your money. Potential for loss or gain is there; in hindsight, I should have waited it out, but seeing that (-) before the dollar value for 5 minutes made me queasy enough to exit. I’ve since come a long way in terms of the psychological deal. In monetary terms, I’ve yet to get back to where I started capital wise.
First demo trade was a winner, shorted USD/JPY during the Asian session and scored 18 pips in 15 minutes. I was ecstatic.
First cash trade, I just remember that trading session. I put $25 into FXCM’s account, was trading micro lots. At the end of the day I had $5.00 in profits. I took a five dollar bill out of my wallet and taped it to my wall. Of course, being that I was risking about 10 - 15% of my account on each trade, that account didn’t last very long 
But I still have that $5 taped to my cabinet and looking at me, below which is taped a paper with the openings and closings of each market around the world in EST written with a black sharpie.
While I look forward to the feeling of finally becoming consistently profitable, the one feeling I miss already is the feeling of having discovered FX and those first virginal trading experiences. Sort of like listening to your favorite album for the first few times, its an experience you can never repeat!
I swapped a Mark Fidrych card for a Hank Aaron card.
My first trade in my first Live Account with $ 2,000 USD was long in EUR/USD 3 years ago, and i win two pips, $ 20 USD and close inmediatly.
The fact is, i deposit $ 2,000 USD, but the Bank fee for the transfer was $ 20 USD, then my first balance was 1,980 and in my firts trade i want to recover the fee of the Bank.
Unfortunatelly i don’t know nothing in this time about Money Management and blow up this account, now i only trade mini lots and still learning.
