Just think about what he said. He said the prison guards would make the inmates fight for their entertainment.

How twisted is that? How is that not caught on video and the guards brought up on charges?

He said when he turned himself in, the cops arrested him and beat him. If you’re the officer in charge, you ain’t got no questions? You don’t suspect anything?

Yarris talked explained that as a 7year old kid he got assaulted by an adult then got hit in the head with a rock.

Couldn’t we understand how he turned into a criminal? I’m not excusing him. I’m just saying that he needed help, not a beating from the police.

Any for-profit prison that compensates judges should be closed, and everyone involved should be prosecuted and imprisoned.

Every for-profit prison should be prohibited from lobbying governments at the state, local, and federal levels, they lobby for longer sentences in order to increase their revenue.

Why is this even allowed to exist? I know it’s euphemism for “privatized”, but the government has let them go off-leesh. They didn’t think it was a bad idea?

I just don’t understand how such dangerous environments are allowed to exist in prisons. How do the people in charge sleep at night?

100% agree

Another way to enjoy pork!

1. Muscle Growth & Recovery

Pork is naturally rich in leucine , an amino acid that stimulates muscle protein synthesis, and vitamin B12 (cobalamin), which helps build red blood cells, supports nerve health, and fuels overall energy production (8, 9).

2. Energy Metabolism

Vitamins B1 (thiamine) and B3 (niacin) in pork help convert carbohydrates into usable energy, support brain health, and promote healthy circulation and mitochondrial function (10).

3. Skin, Collagen, & Gut Health

Amino acids like lysine and threonine promote collagen production for skin integrity, enhance immune resilience, and help maintain a strong, healthy gut lining (11).

4. Thyroid & Immune Support

Pork provides a rich source of selenium , a potent antioxidant that supports thyroid hormone conversion, protects against oxidative stress, and strengthens immune function (12).

5. Sleep & Mood Regulation

With tryptophan , a precursor to melatonin, and vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine) to support neurotransmitter function, pork helps promote restful sleep, emotional stability, and mental clarity (13, 14).

How do you say no to crispy pork belly?

@SmallPaul We’ve all heard about not putting sauce on a steak, right?

But what about other cuts of meat? What’s the difference?

Why is sauce on a steak a no-no, but sauce on ribs is ok?

Yes, I really enjoy adding Heinz 57 to my steak.

I can understand having beef ribs without any sauce, while I can’t imagine doing the same with pork ribs.

I didn’t know that it was.

Maybe a regional/locational thing?

Here (UK) and even more so in France, steaks in various sauces are quite commonly eaten. “Steak Diane” is one of my favourites.

Some individuals prefer to taste the meat with no sauce when it comes to steak, but I do not share that preference; I prefer to use steak sauce.

Many culinary experts recommend enjoying steak without sauce to fully appreciate its natural flavors. Here are some key points to consider:

Flavor Profile

Steak has a rich, complex flavor that can be masked by sauces.
High-quality cuts, like ribeye or filet mignon, are often best enjoyed plain or with minimal seasoning.

Cooking Techniques

Proper cooking methods (grilling, searing) enhance the steak’s taste.
Techniques like resting the meat after cooking allow juices to redistribute, improving flavor.

Seasoning Alternatives

Use salt and pepper to enhance the steak’s natural taste.
Consider using herbs or a light marinade before cooking, rather than heavy sauces afterward.

Cultural Perspectives

In some culinary traditions, sauces are seen as unnecessary for high-quality steak.

Different cultures may have varying practices regarding steak preparation and serving.

Personal Preference

Ultimately, the choice to use sauce is subjective; some may enjoy the combination of flavors.

Experimenting with different approaches can help determine personal taste preferences.

What in the world?! Ketchup belongs on eggs, potatoes, and rice. Not MEAT! That’s criminal.

Haha Just kidding. But, damn, man. Ketchup overpowers everything.

You’re right. I just remember as a kid putting ketchup on food whose taste I didn’t like. Haha

In the US some folks say a good steak doesn’t require sauce, and putting sauce on it is a sign of immaturity.

Sure, I can understand. But the logic of that falls apart when you consider how many meat dishes have sauce on them.

In restaurants, I suppose some chefs get offended if you order a steak and then put steak sauce on it because doing so overpowers the meat.

Imagine you spend two hours smoking a nice cut of meat for a friend, and he dumps ketchup all over it.

At that point, he won’t even taste the smokiness, or the natural flavour of the meat. He ‘s really only tasting the ketchup.

Heinz 57 Steak Sauce is an incredibly versatile condiment that can enhance various dishes beyond just steak

I stand corrected. I thought it was just ketchup.

Is it equally strong?

Do you think it enhances or overpowers the meat?

I think I’d use something like this on a sandwich.
