How Factories Produce Canned Meat

It may be canned, but at least it’s all natural.

However, you don’t know what else could be in there. There are ingredients that are not required by law to be listed on the can.

But, when money’s tight, you can’t be choosey. This is probably healthier than hotdogs.

I was surprised to see that only salt was added, compared to other cans of meat this is healthier.

Start practicing these meals in advance, if you can.

I remember Patrice Oneal saying that before making a turkey, he was practicing with roast chicken. It’s a good idea, I think.

Practice with real food?

Or did you mean preparing?

Practice with real food, yeah. Well, prepping, too. But, doing a big meal the first time is difficult.

It’s a lot less stressful if you’re familiar with the recipes.

She makes it look so easy. I certainly wouldn’t be that calm making all that food. I’d probably be irritable.

But she knows what she’s doing. After trying these recipes a few times, you’ll get more and more comfortable.

@SmallPaul If you were having a dinner party, would you rather prepare dishes you already are familiar with, or would you try a bunch of dishes you’ve never cooked before?

If I were to host several dinner gatherings with the same guests, I would need to vary the dishes. To keep things interesting, I would introduce a few new dishes that I have never cooked before, using a recipe as my guide

As for me, if I’m having a dinner party, I’d rather prepare dishes that I’ve done a few times already.

That would be ideal for me, because it’d be less stressful, and I know how it’s gonna turn out.

If I’m trying a recipe for the first time, it might turn out overcooked, by accident.

I don’t think so. But I’m looking forward to it now!! I’ve seen videos of the Turkish ice cream guys doing tricks when they serve people. It’s a real performance. haha

How did it turn out?

The pictures on this list are phenomenal. And it also features a lot of Italian desserts.

This dessert intrigued me the most: havij bastani

Havij bastani is a delicious and unusual Iranian take on an ice cream float. This refreshing dessert combines fresh carrot juice and a scoop of ice cream, preferably vanilla-flavored or more traditional saffron-infused version. Often considered as both a beverage and a dessert, havij bastani can be sipped or eaten with a spoon.

It is always served in a glass, and it is usually topped with crushed pistachios, as well as cardamom or cinnamon.

These days, sitting this way is very uncomfortable for me. It would take a few months of eating like this every day in order to get comfortable. But I do like the intimacy of such meals. I’ve had the experience in the past, and it’s quite nice.
