It varies depending on the occasion. When I invite someone over for dinner at my place, it’s my treat and I don’t expect guests to bring anything. However, if I’m hosting a cookout, I usually let people know if they should bring something along. If I don’t mention it, there’s no pressure for them to bring anything.
The very first time I heard of this guy, years ago, love this story
Eric Thomas “When you want to Succeed as Bad as you want to Breathe”
Damn that looks good!
Looks simple enough to make. Just gotta get the toppings.

It is essential for the government to prohibit food companies from including harmful substances in our food that lead to serious health issues. We know that will never happen.
-
Americans should begin adopting a healthier diet, as there are plenty of free resources to assist with the transition.
-
Get off our fat lazy as and start doing light exercises.

The weight loss industry in America is a thriving multi-billion dollar sector. Have you shed some pounds? That stuff doesn’t work.

Instead of searching for a magical solution to prevent obesity it is necessary to dedicate time and effort. No quick fix exists. If you maintain an unhealthy diet and lack exercise, obesity is likely to occur is a Joke.
Biden proposes Medicare and Medicaid cover costly weight-loss drugs for millions of obese Americans
Millions of Americans with obesity would be eligible to have popular weight-loss drugs like Wegovy or Zepbound covered by Medicare or Medicaid under a new rule the Biden administration proposed Tuesday morning.
The costly proposal from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services immediately sets the stage for a showdown between the powerful pharmaceutical industry and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an outspoken opponent of the weight-loss drugs who, as President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee to lead the agency, could block the measure.
While the rule would give millions of people access to weekly injectables that have helped people shed pounds so quickly that some have labeled them miracle drugs, it would cost taxpayers as much as $35 billion over the next decade.

This is the hard truth. People getting stomach surgery because they can’t lose weight. The problem isn’t losing weight. The problem is lack of discipline.
More water, less soda. Is this rocket science? Try walking sometimes. Folks think they can eat salads for 30 days, lose weight, and then go back to normal. People think that weight isn’t gonna come back.
Temporary change = temporary weight loss. Fat people habits = fat people results.
Healthy habits = healthy results.
People will get a salad then drown it in ranch dressing. For real?
And in a household, everyone should be on board.
If the mother is eating a salad, and the father is eating salami, that’s discouraging.
I think it works, but they don’t prepare people for the mental challenge they’ll face on their weight loss journey.
And the king of that was and always will be Richard Simmons.
Don’t let his flamboyance fool you. That dude was hardcore. He confronted weight loss AND the emotional challenges that come along with it. And this dude made weight loss fun for countless people.
You believe in the effectiveness of products such as fat loss supplements, they tend to imply that you can indulge in eating while still shedding weight by simply taking a supplement. The fine print may state that effort is required on your part, yet individuals often opt for these supplements as a substitute for putting in the hard work.
Now I see. I read it wrong.
I thought you meant the home exercise equipment. But you meant the quick fix products like pills and magic teas, right?
Yeah, that stuff is garbage. I’ve seen an ad for weight loss tea. Drink the tea, exercise a few times a week, and you’ll lose weight. Really? So, I should attribute the weight loss to the tea? How convenient.
Yup. I’ve seen lots of people get stomach surgery. I’d much rather earn my prize by putting in the hard work.
His first-ever exercise was walking for 30 minutes. He then added at-home, such as squats, to his routine.
“Little by little, I started creating good habits of exercising,” Matos recalls.
That’s on me.
Almost everywhere I visit, a plethora of weight loss products are being marketed, it is evident that none of these products are effective, especially considering the obesity crisis we are currently facing.
In the realm of weight loss prescription medicines, it seems that the pharmaceutical industry is aiming to expand its market share by lobbying for government coverage of millions of Americans through Medicare and Medicaid, ultimately resulting in significant profits for major pharmaceutical companies.
Objectively, it’s a smart move. Of course, it won’t help anyone long-term. Like you said, people think they can keep an unhealthy diet and still lose weight. Here’s a common problem: people treat diet as a verb. “I’m dieting.” Meaning, for most people it has a short-term connotation. People seldom say, “A healthier diet.” It’s seldom in reference to what they eat on a daily basis. They say, “I’m going on a diet for 30 days before my wedding.” Always short-term.
A diet is not a short-term thing when you’re trying to lose weight. It’s what you eat day in and day out. A diet is part of your lifestyle. And some people just naturally have a high metabolism and are skinny. Just because a person is skinny, it doesn’t mean he’s healthy.
Fat or skinny, an unhealthy diet leaves your body in bad condition. Diabetes and high blood pressure affects us all. And we all need healthier habits. Unfortunately, ain’t nobody just gonna give it to us. Being fit has its price.
It all comes down to this: people want something for nothing.
How MILLIONS of Sardines Are Canned in Just 24 Hours! Amazing Automated Sardines Production!
The production of Sardines involves several key phases, starting with the harvesting of large schools of sardines using purse seine nets.
Right back at ya!
Ha. So it is possible. I wish this was more common in the US!
Healthy and cheap! What more do you want? I eat sardines usually about once a week or so. I empty the can into my instant noodles.
I wish the same but the American government is a lost cause and only caters to lobbyists.
Inside the Turkey Factory: Processing Millions of Turkeys for Thanksgiving
You said a mouthful. Lobbying is the real way to get anything done in the US.
My way is more bachelor style. I put the sardine (fillets) in a bowl and just put the hot ramen on top.
I can’t believe dude broke up those ramen noodles. That’s criminal!
