i keep getting my life events get in the way of trading i guess because im not motivated enough to learn. what do i do? whats your motivation> thanks.
Honestly… If you’re looking for motivation, trading is probably not for you. Especially if you’re not motivated to learn. BUT if you want me to try and convince you, the potential of making money sure is a good way to motivate someone.
Also the fact that you “keep getting my life events get in the way of trading” is also probably a good sign that you’re not that interested in trading. WHICH is not a bad thing! I think it’s just your mind/body telling you to look for something else that will keep you interested.
The freedom it is slowly building me.
Yes, I agree you won’t be successful when life style interferes with a FX business, which is how it should be treated. I suggest you stay put, and focus on family instead.
My motivation is accepting a most difficult challenge to become consistently profitable - but I guess when that happens, I’ll need to find another challenge.
Money has been proven to be a poor motivator - countless studies have proven such.
Freedom, the beach lifestyle? If your only motivation is escape, again I can’t see you keeping at trading when the going gets tough.
For me, the biggest motivation is that I just love strategy games.
It’s a game that’s constantly on the go - and draws into it some of the best minds in the world.
Then there is the motivation of enjoying learning about current events, politics, and general knowledge about the world we live in.
Finally, it’s really easy to keep score in trading, you know if you are good or suck. The constant feedback is essential to enter flow-like states of consciousness.
When all said and done, I just got a bone on for the markets I guess. I think every successful trader loves trading, they have all found deeper meaning in it.
The question is did they love trading first, or did that deep love come later when they got good at it?
