currently i need to know when can i start demo trading and i also seek advise on which demo trading should i choose? Thank you in advance
Hi Sphamandla, I would start demo trading immediately. I like to demo trade buy entering contests. Demo contests add an element of competition. It doesn’t simulate real money trading but it does add that little something that gets you to break your trading plan. And of course that is bad. My goal is not to win these contests but simply to finish without blowing my account. Then I win, like real money trading.
Some contests I like are HiwayFX, OctoFX, CashBackForex is not a broker but they do sponsor contests, ForexRactory the same deal.

I think that what matters is to open your demo account in the same place you’re going to have your real-money account later on, so that by the time you switch from one to the other, you’ll already be familiar with both the broker and the interface, and therefore not have to acclimatise to those at the same time as using real money for the first time. So the time to do all the “due diligence” about brokers, to decide which to use, is right at the start.
My own perspective is that it’s also worth taking a bit of time and trouble (if necessary) to [I]avoid[/I] using Metatrader 4, if you can, for the reasons explained in this thread: [B]301 Moved Permanently
