Hi colleagues,
I’m quite new here in business, refreshing some of the studies made at the University in order to invest in Forex.
I read the article Leverage the Killer and as far as I could understood the suggested leverage for beginners should be from 1:1 to 10:1 maximum.
Further in the article they have a link to a list of the Forex brokers listed with their max leverage. However the most of them just offered a specific leverage, i.e. ACM offered accounts with 100:1.
Am I missing something or could you give me a list of suggested brokers that offers low leverage accounts and also micro-account?
You’re not obligated to use the maximum leverage… and even if you are, think with me here: you have $100,000 on your broker account, if you want to trade with a standard lot only, then even if you were obligated to use a 100:1 leverage, you would use only $1,000 of margin to control the lot, and then even if you lost $1,000, it would only be 1% of your account.
Thanks equilibrium,
so basically i could open an account with every broker account and decide for myself how much leverage do I want to put in each transaction, or better said, in my account altogether, right?
Then, what about micro-accounts? Since I would like to begin with an account of USD 1000.
