Alot of posts seem to say that a return of more than 10% a month is unrealistic. i dont understand why this is. Its said that you should be risking anything up to 2% on each trade. Now if im risking 2% on each trade, i would expect to take least 2% if the trade goes well. So 10% seem entirely possible.
10% a month is possible. I’m only at 6.9% thus far, but then again, the month isn’t over.
I guess I should also mention that my EFX account wasn’t fully funded and tradeable until the 10th… so really i’ve only had 4 days to accrue gains. If someone tells you 10% isn’t doable, they aren’t a professional and they really don’t know too much about what they are doing.
I’d like to be at at least a 50% return on my account by Christmas. We’ll see!
rhody makes an excellent point. For someone just starting out, don’t expect to do it in your first month. Hell, even if you demo’ed successfully for a couple months, your first live month is going to be a learning experiment like you’ve never experienced and so you might not make 10%.
Time and experience are the only things in this profession that will improve your overall returns!
