I have metatrader for and I am currently on lesson 5 and my Bollinger Band and MACD indicators are different and I don’t understand why and how to get them to the ones on babypips.com.
My Boillinger Band has 3 lines instead of 2 lines like showen in the lesson and my MACD indicator only has one line and then the bars. I don’t know why it does not have the second line.
As far as the Bollinger bands go, the center line is a simple moving average, normally of closing prices for X number of previous bars. It is from this line that the standard deviations are calculated and drawn at usually 2 SD from the center line.
In Bollinger bands you normally see all three lines, so in this instance it’s Babypips that deviate from the standard, in my opinion anyway.
MACD can be shown in two ways, MT4 has - as you’ve noticed - the other version. I think it’s called the histogram version, but I’m not sure.
If you look around the forum, or other sites, I’m sure you can find and download the MACD indicator version that babypips school displays.
