Will the Easter decrease in volume and volatility affect indicators from Friday to Monday?
It’s not Easter everywhere but London and New York will be shut won’t they?
there’s already very limited volume because it’ll be the weekend…everyone is off anyway. So I think that the addition of Easter won’t have too much added effects.
Today and Mon are bank holidays in UK - yes, markets will be very thin and vol is already v. low.
But should we be careful of following indicators on Tuesday as it might jump around a bit and indicators will have had a few basically blank days.
darn holidays =)
I treat days back from holidays like the start of the week. There’s nothing to be that careful about. Expect a breakout, some gaps, but unless somethings changed huge on a fundamental level, it’ll be back to business after this weekend.
