I’ve often wandered if trading the Forex is even worth it? It seems everyone downs every broker to a certain extent. So does that mean every broker is a crook? I would like to hear from people trading a LIVE account. I really do not care if you are winning or losing. I would just like to hear from those that are doing it.
Everyone makes it sound impossible to make money with Forex. Mainly due to Crook Brokers, lack of knowledge, patience, etc. If thats true, then are financial institutions the only ones profiting?
So who is withdrawing money every month with their broker? Could you post your trading results from that LIVE account? And which broker are you using? Any complaints with them? I’m sure there is.
Where can I get in touch with the traders that are making real money with Forex? Or do they exist?
I see why there are so many “worthless” ebooks on Forex trading now!

I am very successful with my demo account. But thats DEMO. It means nothing to me. I haven’t gone live yet due to my thoughts I posted above, and the fact that DEMO is different from LIVE. Very different from what I hear.
So until I hear from people withdrawing money on a regular basis with a reliable broker. My funds are safe in my checking account rather than my trading account.
Your concerns are understandable considering how much criticism circulates regarding the problems inherent in trading forex. Certainly there are those who have problems with certain brokers, especially if they are news traders. And certainly there are those who are unsuccessful in trading due to lack of discipline or failure to settle on and develop a consistent strategy; and those persons are highly critical of forex trading institutions and the forex trading process in general. But rest assured that there are those who are successful, who (because they are patient and careful with their money management, and consistent with their personal strategy) regularly make gains. There are rules in the forex game just as there are in any game or sport. Develop your strategy such that it fits within those rules and such that it fits your trading personality and your tolerances and limits regarding risk and patience. Finding a good broker is very important, but designing your strategy so that it can be successful in the existing forex environment is even more so because without that, one cannot be successful.
People are not going to post live trading results. Why should they share what is confidential information and what will it tell you anyway? Certainly not whether you can successfully trade or not. Consider what is behind your request. If you want to reassure yourself that it can be done read the Market Wizards. But in truth maybe it isnt for you. Certainly many people would save a lot of money and heartache by realising this sooner than later

No, not crook brokers, at least not in the main but a lack of understanding by new traders about how the different brokers work. However the last 2 definitely

This shows you have a better grasp than the average retail trader out there. Also sounds like you might really be ready to move on depending how long you have demoed for. In order to test this out in the real market why not go with an insignificant trade size to start with to see what happens
I understand about the live trading results. But how is it any different than blurring out your name, account number, etc. on demo results? But I can see where you are coming from and can see why people will not post it.
I have been on the fence for months about going live. I’ve demoed for going on 2 years now. Yes, I margin called my first few, but I’ve more than doubled the rest from there on out until this day.
I guess I am just venting because I want people to post the fact that there is honest, reliable brokers out there and it just doesn’t seem to be happening. I’ve been very happy with my broker, but like I said, its demo.
It would really get me down if I found out that my system was profitable in demo, only to find out its a fluke in live account. That would be a big kick in the you know where if you know what I mean.
I guess you are right. I’m just going to have to suck it up and start a small live account to see the real deal.
Yes I can understand that but 2 years of demoing is fantastic. I have used a number of brokers including Oanda, MB Trading, MG Forex and Dukascopy. I have found them to be honest and reliable. Thats not to say they dont all have their different foibles and the fact of the matter is if your system depends on scalping over seconds or trading news spikes you are going to have problems. Other than that as long as there is sufficient liquidity in the market you wont have problems. What will be different is the psychological reality of losing real money but your extensive demoing should help you through the inevitable rough patches. Hope you do fantastically well
Honestly speaking, i don want Forex has many winners, afterall, trading is a zero-sum game - one lose while other win - maybe this is why lot of ppl (that i know of) tell others don try forex…
FYI disipline is VERY important in forex, i didn 't really playing attention to this while i was in demo, but now i know, the REAL only difference between live and demo…is disipline, how you control our emotion - Greed -
The reason why winners are usually unlikely to post their result is not because there is no winner in this forum, it is just winners have already had great control toward their emotion - vanity - through all this trades
Trade It, if your trading system has already been proving to have successful gain within 2 years, why not try with a live? what you lose is not money, it is time and opportunity…

In other forums there not many live trading results. May be they are not interested in sharing with others or they may be not having enough trading in forex.
