Your Dream Trade Computer Set Up

Hey everyone, I was just dreaming about my dream system and I’d love to hear about yours. Mine, the core of which I’m building tomorrow will be a custom build all the way. I’m starting with a machine tomorrow which will support my current 4 monitors and be able to handle the tasks my current machine just can’t.
As I can afford it I will add onto this machine and end up with an ultimate trade station that I cant wait for. I will be expanding to 8 monitors, all set up with a sturdy mount system. The only other thing I will really be needing is a new desk, which I’m thinking I might custom build unless I see something out the that fits whats in my head. I’m hoping to be able to do this in about 2 years, we’ll see!
Well, you have heard about my plan, what’s yours?

Happy Trading Everyone!
Bill

My trading methodology is pretty simple and doesn’t use a large number of indicators so my CPU requirements are rather low. I also don’t need a large number of screens. One for MT4 and one for the trade manager is good enough I think.

What I really, REALLY want, though, is a treadmill desk. I like the both of the ones below, but the one without the ball-seat conversion would probably be best for me.

Those are cool! I’ve never seen one of those before

I wish APPLE could come up with a trading solution that incorporates windows & forex into one

This one is on my wishlist for a while now!

Even I think this one is a bit over the top [But tempting]:

And I want these monitors.

I’ve already got the core of my system set up in the computer department. I’m 1/3 of the way there when it comes to monitors.

Specs on computer:
AMD Black Edition 6-core processor
16GB high performance RAM
Asus mobo with dual x16 PCI-E slots to accomodate…
2 HIS Radeon video cards at 1gb a piece, in crossfire mode, both running at x16 thanks to the mobo.

Monitor:
60in. LG Plasma TV connected via HDMI.

The only thing I need to add to this is 2 more 60 inch TVs to complete the triple monitor setup. Right now I’m running with the 60in. LG and a 32in. Vizio. Here’s my setup in “evening” mode (read: done with the markets, time to kick back and relax with some games):

That’s EVE Online on the 60 and Need For Speed: Shift (PS3 version) on the 32.

That Ostendo curved monitor is just awesome. I think I just upped my expectations.

Yeah for some reason I think i would want that instead of 5 screens… lol

Take 3 and you have a 180 degree view… Only $25,000

Just to update you guys…I’ve changed my position on that curved monitor. It’s very deceptive from the pictures, but those things are really, really deep when you take a look at the back. Not like the traditional flat-panel screen that we’re used to now.

My brother, a WOW geeks and super-computer building nerd, told me that I should just look into getting three 24" Del ultra sharp LED monitors. Said that the wrap-around effect of these curved monitors really just serves to enhance the race-car game experience. Even FPS games don’t really make sense with these games. So unless you’re a Need for Speed junkie…it’s kinda like a glory monitor.

I’ll probably end up taking his advice as I find that it’s often best to rely on the experience of those who have more expertise in a certain field of knowledge than I do.

Thanks, FX… You just saved me $25,000… I almost wanted to buy them…lol

Seriously, thanks for the update…
