I'm a retired I.T. enterprise architect who had an interest in markets since the age of 8 but no time to really indulge it.
Since 2000, when it was really obvious that the stock market was overbought, I started learning about trading. By the time of the tech wreck, I was ready to try my hand.
I lost a bit of money (and some of my enthusiasm for trading) in the process but a few years ago, got excited again after a severe illness knocked me out of IT.

I've done the Babypips course, read loads of books and studied fundamentals based trading as well as TA.
In the end, (for me) the answer was a hybrid of price action (no indicators) and order flow.
It's been a hard road (5yrs) and I still don't think I know very much, but gradually the money has flowed more in my direction than away from me.
Psychology has been the main hurdle - even though at the beginning I was sure that was the least of my problems.
