4 trillion $us dollar daily turnover in forex?

Sounds alot but is it really much, and how many forex traders are really out there…

Not as many as you suspect i suspect

$4000,000,000,000 thats 4 trillion ie 4000 million Say the average trade for a pro is a million dollar contract (ie $100/pip), then that only allows for 400,000 trades daily, but first you then have to take into account the corporations and the banks i would suspect half that volume or more would be from there daily activities, then say 2000,000,000 is down to the pros, then say they make 2 trades per day then each trader contributes maybe 2million to the daily turnover, then your only looking at 1000 professional traders worldwide…

then you got the retail hacks coming out of babypips and forex factory and the like combining; perhaps attributing to 1/2 a trillion daily turnover, ie 500,000,000…with the average trade being say 100,000 contracts (ie$10/pip), so 2 trades a day, comes to $200,000, so that makes about 2500 retail hacks.

so together you have 1000 pros
2500 retail hacks

then the banks and funds and corporations…

i think its fewer than you think…

4 Trillion is 4000 Billion by the way…

That’s a lot of lollypops. eh?
