Hi everybody I have decided to start my own trading strategy based on my own trading knowledge. I will be posting the trades that I take on this thread every day between 7:30 and 8:00 am New York time. My strategy is simple: I take either buy or sell positions on mostly major currency pairs and hold them until halfway through the New York session if they dont hit the stoploss or take profit. The stop loss is 50 pips and the take profit is 100 pips. (except for EUR/GBP, SL is 50 pips and TP is 50 pips. I will count the pips made and lost for this pair as double) I don’t really have a mechanical strategy to post. My positions are based on how I think the news is going to impact that currency pair for that day. I have been trading for a while like this and I have been doing good so I decided to share them on this thread. If there are any questions I will be happy to answer them.
100 Weekly Pips Strategy:
Positions opened at around 8:00 AM New York Time.
StopLoss = 50 pips TakeProfit = 100 pips (except EUR/GBP, SL and TP is 50 pips)
If neither SL or TP position will be closed around 11:00am (give or take 15 minutes)
Number of positions opened at once = 1 to 4 positions

i’d like to see how this works out. I think 99% of us make life too hard… this is dumbfoundedly easy and i’d be surprised if it didn’t work… you’re using great R:R and all you have to be is right half the time

I didn’t hit my goal of 100 pips this week but im not worried since it was only my first week of live trading and I only traded 4 days. Took a big hit on Wednesday with both trades hitting the SL. I was also planing to take a USD/JPY trade on Thursday and a USD/CHF trade on Friday but decided not to. If I did both trades would have made around 50 pips each. Anyway I will continue to trade next week and hope to make my goal of 100 pips and the 45 pips I missed for this week.

I don’t know if you have the time available but I really would appreciate it if you would briefly comment on what news you think is going to drive the market when you are placing a trade and/or what is your favoured source(s) for news predictions.
