1pip for $10?

Hello,
pls how does the GBP/USD pair produce $10 per pip as i often read about it everywhere.

That’s the pip value for a full lot size of 100,000 GBP.

1 Pip = 1/10,000 of a point
100,000/10,000=$10

…and 1 mini lot pip = $1.

Remember that the pair determines the pip cost. USDJPY for example comes in at around $8.20 since USD is not the base paor.
