What’s your 2022 Market Forecast? Any pairs/Indices/Stocks you are looking at? How you plan on adjusting to the market ? Anything you want to work on? How was 2021? Biggest wins and lessons? Anything you feel like sharing? :upside_down_face: PIPEROUS NEW YEAR!!!

First thing I need to do is sit down and do more review on my 2021 trades. So far I have found that I missed some really strong trending moves because I wasn’t in those pairs - I need to understand why I passed them by.

Did you the opportunity because you plan doesn’t include those pairs or you system didn’t pick them up and you are looking to make adjustments?

I’m sure I can just make some minor adjustments as the strategy is already profitable. I intend to start with the charts and working back to the trades, rather than the usual method - start with the list of losers. I should be able to see for the year which trends I ought to have been in, then refer back to the trade log and confirm which ones I missed, then hope to try to figure out why I missed them (all simple on D1). Then I’ll know how to make sure I’m in the trends I dream about.

What i am finding so far from my initial review work is that when my strategy tells me a chart is in an uptrend or a downtrend, it is generally right. So I usually have opportunities to make a profit from the trends that the strategy selects.

However, I cannot find a way to reliably decide which price will move furthest and fastest in its trend. So sometimes I pick a strong trend to ride but sometimes I pick a weak trend that does not move far before it goes into a congestion zone.

The easiest answer here is to simply take every trend. This demands using small positions so that I have enough margin to cover al the positions I want. This also avoids excessive over-exposure to certain currencies - trends can reverse quickly. There is always the option to open a wide range of positions but then cut out those that are not moving dramatically.
