Actual - Forecast - Previous

Hi,

I have a question for you guys. Hope some of you can help me to understand the market better.

Ok I know that the market moves after news are released if there is a difference between actual and forecast.

If now I go to check next week’s economic calendar I can see that the forecasts are already there but if I look next next week forecasts are not there yet. When are they released (If I am not wrong the forecast numbers should be the average of different forecasts)? Do they affect the market? Who is looking for them? Who is reacting to them? And When?

Let’s make an example:

Forecast is 5, actual come 4 and the market react with big bearish movement. But imagine now that the previous week was 0. By the time of the news release the market adapted to forecast and at the time of the new reacted to the actual. But…

But what about the forecast? When was it released? And when did the market react to it? The difference between previous and forecast sometime is big and also surprising. Does the market react to this? And if it does, when does it react to it? How? Who?

Well my English is not perfect, hope my question makes sense!

Thanks for your time!

Hmmm, seems nobody knows the answer?

They are not there for a couple reasons

  1. If they are a couple weeks out then the forecast is irrelevant at this point.
  2. A forecast is a forecast but it still needs approximate data in be released in order to be forecast. They might be waiting.

I am not a big of of playing the game of imagining things that do not happen. As bob said, if the forecast is a few weeks old it does not matter. Theoretical discussions may be entertaining, but of little value. Imagine this, imagine that, what if, etc. Focus on what is there…uhm…imagine you actually trade :56:
