How do you add custom indicators to mt4? I have some downloaded but when i put them in meta editor and compile them nothing really happens, i get 0 errors 0 warning thats it. is there something else i need to do?
They have to be saved in the proper folder, which would be …\experts\indicators in your install directory. On my computer the entire path is C:\Program Files\Interbank FX Trader 4\experts\indicators.
If you’re using a different broker then the name will be different, of course, but this should help you find it.
After it’s in the right directory you’ll need to restart MT4 and then you’ll find the indicator under “Custom Indicators” in your navigator.

Once you have complied the ex4 file from the mql code… make sure it is in the indicators folder
you can drag and drop the indicator onto your charts through the terminal
