Am i wrong learning forex and need become traders?

Hello all…
I’m very newbie in forex, i wish i can trade in forex professionally…
But it needs more skill and talent in.
many people said that forex is very risky, so am I wrong to learning and to trade in??

I have the same doubt… is there anybody have making money from this… If yes… I will also gain…

Just my opinion - it is only as risky as you make it - pretty cool really.

You are in control of your money - whether it’s a little bit or a large bit - you still control how much you risk.

It is risky, no doubt about that! But you can learn the skills to manage your risk properly, just gotta have the discipline to stick to your risk management rules. Good luck!

Like you, I am a newbie too. Actually we have the same doubt. Forex trading is indeed risky. But we need to take that risk to gain the reward and the great opportunity. And you are right, we need more skill and talent. To do this, we have to equip ourselves with sufficient knowledge about Forex. And this forum is of great help to us.

Well Derajat, why not feel that you can be that talented trader who are profitable! Forex have thrill that I enjoy. It takes time to be profitable.

But isn’t the Forex one of these things where there are as many people that loose as the one that win?

We are in the same boat thats why i am open to any tips, ideas even suggestions regarding forex to be add on my knowledge.

So most people win money?

Guys read the 1st post on in this thread if you have doubts about trading: 301 Moved Permanently

This is a misconception about Forex trading. I’ve read it somewhere else. If you have the right knowledge, I think there is no reason to lose your money. So that’s why there is a demo account and Forex sites and forums. Its a good way of learning and getting knowledge about Forex. Knowledge and training will give you good skills and you’'ll know more about the in’s and out’s of the market.

No Enikka. Most people do not win money in the long run.It is said that 98% lose money in forex in the long run. Then question is why so many people joining? There is hope and potentiality to win and ways too. This also becomes passion after some time I feel.

If you are loosing money in the long run, then why continue trading? I think, our first objective and target as well why we trade is simply because we want to profit, that we want to earn extra bucks. Passion, I think, is the least consideration why people are joining. Just my opinion.

I disagree that our first objective and target is to profit. The core concept of money management is to maintain the purchasing power of our capital and ensure that it does not erode during inflationary periods or otherwise. More so, our first objective is understanding that trading is more than a buy or sell button.

Oh and in my opinion, passion is the only consideration for why people join or do anything in life.

You are not wrong in learning how to speculate in the markets professionally. That is the equivalent of saying: are you wrong in learning how to play a sport, a music instrument, learning how to swim, how to drive, how to read. You are not wrong in doing any of these things. The financial markets including Foreign Exchange is a challenging puzzle. You are learning how to frame the markets and identify whether a market is poised for strength or weakness (based on technical, fundamentals, or otherwise). There is nothing wrong in learning how to do this and if and when you believe you’re observations and ideas are correct then you can see if the market will pay you.

It will be a long journey as i can tell.Im in this stuff for more than 1 year, ive learned much but still at the beginning.Trading is not something you learn overnight.Just go read through the BP school, and we can talk more profesionally after you’ve read it through.Until then there is no point continuing this discussion.

Well that is your opinion and I respect that. But for me, doing Forex trading without the purpose of gaining margin or profit is just a waste of effort, time and money, of course, just for the sake of maintaining the purchasing power of our capital.

There is potentiality to be consistently profitable but that takes time to reach and requires good investment.

Yup, you are right. It really takes time to harvest the fruit of hard work. Per what I learned, Forex trading is a process. So of course, its not a magic that by just a click of your hand you would profit already. You have to work for it. You have to invest not only your money but also your time, effort, discipline and patient.
