This is more of an entertaining read for the more seasoned members of baby pips, and perhaps a light hearted joke.
Don’t you find that you can distinguish between the total newbies by the manner in which they write their posts, and this is true for me when I look back to the absolute days of zero or little knowledge?
We would address our questions with a high degree of politeness, treating each other member as supposed ‘professionals’. Each question is almost purposely written as if this is some kind of corporate meeting where etiquette is required.
Always thanking the original poster for their time, and making it obvious that we are enthusiastically awaiting their response! Addressing posts with ‘Dear Sir’…The hidden agenda being that we all thought that we would make serious amounts of money, almost like we could be part of the inner circle and it would be handed to us on a plate.
Now, later down the line, it’s more of a “yer, your wrong mate, shut up and stop dreaming of making 100% ROI a month” – wow, we must get at least one of these threads appearing each week! Then we have the hidden agenda sales pitches, usually opening with something like “Hi, I’m hear to help for free”… and this is the link to send money to my PayPal account if you want to learn any further”!
Also, let’s not forget the posts from people who can’t even talk in English, or if they can they use the complete Forex terminology back-to front and then wonder why the entire babypips community comes down on them like a tonne of bricks!
We certainly do get a good mix of individuals, and some of the threads are even entertaining to read!
