Was wondering…which Antiviruses do you guys use? Is it considered a must for trading?
Paid or free?
- Avira Free (real time)
- Malwarebytes + Hitman Pro (on demand scan)
- Comodo Firewall
This is pretty much my basic security setup and it works fine. Security is a must on Windows OS, including trading (even though MT4 has its own security mechanisms).
Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials
Both free and both effective
MSE is set to run dialy and Malwarebytes has to be run manually
At the moment I use avast, malwarebytes & superanti-spyware…all free software.
I used to have bitdefender total protection…
Read a few reviews about paid antivirus software, with Internet protection specifically for banking transactions & trading…& was wondering if that was necessary…

I personally haven’t had any major issues, aside from a few Trojan’s…those are mainly from the series, etc I copy from friends.
I use Unthreat Antivirus, it’s a free antivirus and I think it’s a MUST just in general when surfing the net. We’re always vulnerable to viruses, no matter what we’re doing so I think it’s important to stay up to date! I totally recommend it!
I don’t use antivirus software. These programs are too aggressive for my taste. When I catch bad thing from somewhere, I just know that and I remove it immediately. Situations like this are rare, and for that reason I just can’t imagine how some “antivirus” program is using my PC resources all day long because of something that can happen once in 2-3 years.
Trading on a linux platform. Quite secure than PC.
For PC users on live accounts A premium internet security is mandatory.
ESET Nod32 - Antivirus and Malwarebyes
Malwarebytes is free but nod32 isn’t
Till now I have used Norton, Avast, Avira both demo and paid versions. And right now I am using Immunet Plus Antivirus protection for my windows. It also comes with demo and paid version, but I am using paid one.
I use comodo, free of charge
Been using AVG free on windows for as long as I can remember, does the job.
