Thnx in advance…

Just talk to a tax adviser in your country, or as you suggested your friends country. By not paying correct tax you are liable for up to 100% of profits in the period/s in question.

There may be alternative ways to save the amount of tax paid, but this will vary from country to county. For example in the UK it would be more advantageous to trade FX (or any derivative) through a private limited company rather than through self employed (this is using the assumption that you are hitting the upper tax bracket in the UK). It’s not true that trading is tax free, but that’s another story…

Hi there,
I am new to the trading world but I live in Sweden and this is one of the first things that I checked up on. As a regular individual and private person trading in Sweden you are taxed at a rate of 30% in forex trading. However, as mentioned above I am not sure whether you can avoid this by trading via a company/entity but I doubt it; lots of companies in Sweden are registered outside the borders in order to avoid the harsh tax rates. This tax is applied in your income declaration which you are held responsible for. So don’t cheat, “Skatteverket” can notice the smallest deviation.
Correct me if anyone knows better but this is what I believe to be the case in Sweden.

I would not look for the answer in a forum, go and consult a tax adviser to get the correct answer. I would not try to cheat my way out of taxes as it can have terrible consequences. Given that your taxable income is high enough there are legal ways to reduce your tax bill which varies from country to country.

I got a better idea, pay your tax.

Best check with a Swedish tax advisor / lawyer. Don’t screw with the tax office unless you want problems for the rest of your life.
