Itâs super risky, itâs possible and there are reliable brokers. BUT you have to learn a lot about it before you start making money⌠just like in Forex.
I never traded binary options exactly because it always looked suspicious to me. Maybe that is why they are about to be banned from ESMA soon.
There are good reasons that governments worldwide are increasingly banning binary options.
From a retail traderâs perspective, the important point is that anything you can do by trading binaries you can do by trading without binaries better and more safely, and without the extra 10% edge to overcome. There just isnât a way to look at binaries that makes them sensible or logical to trade, whatever your trading style. Itâs just a way of making profits harder to achieve, however you look at it.
HUGE amount of fraud and deception in Binary yes! Never invest with anyone and study very hard before deciding on a broker.
Thanks for the replies everyone.
Better to check these theards first
Binary is a scam! Isnât it?
a lot of fraud goes on in binary, so itâs best to just stay away. Iâve seen too many posts from people having bad experiences with binary
That is my thinking too.
Though it is your choice to make investment, as a member of Babypips, I personally think that it is risky to make investment in Binary. As the success of Binary trading greatly depends on forecasts rather than analysis. I think there is higher chances of loss while trading binary.
this statement is pure fiction - it bears no resemblance to reality at all
There is indeed a risk the company will either close its doors and you find out only then it was just a front for a Panamanian bank account or they juggle their quotes so it looks like the market went against you. These are serious risks that are real in binary, almost non-existent outside it.
there are reasons why more and more countries are now making binary options illegal, and will continue to
it doesnât really matter whether anyoneâs making long term money from them, because even if they are, they could be making more money, and at better odds, and more easily, by trading in ways other than binary options anyway
Binary will be illegal everywhere soon, you might as well just trade forex anyway.
Binary options are not for everyone and yes there are many scams that are why you have to analyze the broker you select and see how things going. I am a Forex and Binary trader and for me at least everything is going good and it has been 3 years till now with it and I have never had any issue with deposits or loses. I put a target every day, not too much and not too less and I keep with that. For example, yesterday I did 12 operations in binary options and I won 10 and tie 2. It is possible but is more difficult to handle.!
Thought I should add my two cents to the topic. Hopefully itâll help at least someone save their time and cash.
I used to work for a binary option broker. Two of them, in fact. Makes no difference, they all work the same way. Any BO firm is nothing but a holder of the funds of its âclientsâ, which, in exchange for their deposits, get a chance to make bets on the movement of the price of different assets. Bets. Nothing more.
Unlike other markets, which should be carefully considered as well, but thatâs a completely different subjects, âbinary option marketâ doesnât exist. Thereâs nothing to âbuyâ or to âsellâ. The moment you purchase your option, youâre betting against your broker. Mathematically, the odds are against you: for every $1.00 you bet, in the case of a correct bet, you get back 70, 80, 90, 95% - but never the full amount. That means that on average youâre going to lose more than you gain, but of course - you wouldnât want a mere 50/50 chance of placing the right bet, would you?
So you start to research, to investigate, to test different strategies. And hopefully you find one before you blow a whole bunch of money on experiments with real funds. So you decide to bring it in in order to finally start cashing some profits. Your account begins to grow. And youâre in exctasy - youâve finally got it!
You did. But in your exstatic state youâve forgotten to ask yourself whose field are you playing your little game on. And after a couple of thousand dollars youâre more than likely than start receiving much more messages and calls from all the different kinds of representatives of your broker. Account Managers, Financial Advisors, it doesnât really matter how theyâre going to call themselves - what matters is the purpose of their contact. They might congratulate you with your results, praise the work that youâve done, and all would be simply wonderful if they were actually paid for this. But their incentives lie in the exact opposite direction - if they werenât able to get in touch with you before, now that your âbalanceâ is growing they begin to be pressured by their supervisors to get in touch with you no matter what.
The reason? Simple. Theyâre afraid youâre going to withdraw. And thatâs understandable, right? Youâre âtradingâ, youâre generating some âvolume turnoverâ for them, youâre bringing them âcommissionsâ they might have told you about. They gain nothing from your deposits, do they?
Iâll answer that question in a second, but you might want to consider first the experiences of people who have traded with their account managers, advisors and consultants, as provided by the company. Iâd challenge you to find one review on the Internet (and Iâm talking about real reviews, written by real people) where people have traded with their managers and havenât traded their money away. Go ahead, try it. My post can wait. Unless itâll be deleted as soon as the moderators discover that Iâm writing something theyâve decided not to mention in their âintroduction to binary optionsâ. They might, of course, be completely unaware of whatâs going on in the industry, but given their extensive experience I highly doubt it.
So, hopefully youâre back. And maybe youâve even found out some posts of people claiming to have made some money while trading with some of their advisors from their broker. And you feel the wrath of justice, tearing you apart, making you ask yourself âhow dare he put all of the hard-working people, working for all of these wonderful companies, together and implying that all of them do nothing but help people get rid of the money theyâve worked so hard to accumulate?â. Well, if your desire to keep your rose glasses on doesnât complete cloud your judgement, there is a quite simple explanation for that: some managers, advisors and consultants of the company actually feel so bad about what theyâre doing they canât help themselves but try to genuinely help the people theyâve assigned to. Of course, thatâs not a guarantee that theyâll actually manage to achieve this worthy goal, as most of the managers have no clue as to what trading is really all about. Only a handful of them have a real account at some reputable broker they use to trade on their own. But some of them at least try. And they might actually succeed. For a while. Before they get fired and another less righteous manager comes along and squeezes the people theyâve been trying so hard to help completely dry of their cash. Oh, well.
I hope you begin to see what the BO Business Model is all about. In which case I wonât have to advise you to stay as far out from it as you can. But in case you donât, let me help you see a bigger picture:
- No BO broker is a broker
- Thereâs no âtradingâ in âtrading binary optionsâ
- Whenever you âtradeâ the BOs, youâre betting against the company youâre âtradingâ with
- The moment your âtradingâ becomes profitable, you become a menace to the company
- The only source of income for any âbinary option brokerâ is represented by the deposits of its clients
- All withdrawals respresent nothing, but âan expenseâ for such a company
- Their managers get paid for making people deposit as much as possible
- And they get less bonuses when the âclientsâ theyâre working with withdraw their money
For any of you, brave warriors, who shall desire to plunge your head into the sand in order to ignore somewhat uncomfortable facts Iâve just mentioned, you might want to keep in mind the biggest fear of your deeply righteous and caring companies you know as brokers of binary options. Chargebacks.
Google it.
I wonât got into much detail as to why exactly theyâre scared, and not just mildly annoyed, but suffices to say that they might incur a much, much more big expense on their balance sheet if they happen to surpass a certain percentage of transaction recalls. Chargebacks are usually linked to credit / debit card transactions, but there are also ways to reverse invoices from a bank account to another bank account as well. So you might at least consider limiting your transfers to your card exclusively. Just in case. Who knows, maybe tomorrow the company youâve believed into so much will deem you unworthy of their services and decide to block you without any explanations. If youâve only used card transfers and are able to formulate coherent explanations to your local lawyer and/or banker, you might actually get your money back. Iâve got to put an emphasis on might. When it comes to bureocracy, thereâs almost never a 100% chance. But itâs definitely reasonably high. In constrast, you can say goodbye to your beloved cash if youâve decided to transfer it in BTC or any other cryptocurrency to your beloved broker. Crypto-transactions are not reversable. And if you ever manage to fall for some sweet and feminine or confident and masculine tone of the voice over the phone as to why you definitely should do it and are going to wonder as to why you canât get in touch with anyone in your beloved company, youâll definitely know the reason why now.
NO. I doubt the person says yesâŚ!
I did trade on BO. I won maximum time 80%+. But it was my mistake to be greedy & traded without break. Then when the market gone against me I lost all profits. So I stopped. There is no reason they will not pay you as long as you have profits in your account. Only mistake we do is over trading , not their faults. Also need to know the S & R and 3 DMA with RSI & ST. to win a trade.
Why ? There is no risk(s) in other type of tradings? Only a few % of people makes money from stocks, forex, options, crypto etc. Itâs a zero sum game. Spreads are the issue where the casino will always win while we donât . But one person in millions wins the jackpot. It is legit. But only the winners are always the jackals.
hi, i have been trading binary for few years. there are good brokers out there, but 99% of them are scams. they strategically rake your pocket. you should know the techniques exactly the same as trading forex, risk management practices and many more.
what I experienced was, when the clear signal appears, always expiration times not available. so obviously they dont let you trade to win.
so better stay away from them unless you are trading binary just for fun:grinning:
