Anyone trade with a normal line graph?

I am finding patterns much much more easier to recognise as they are more clearer with just the lines.

Some of what you say is true but what you dont get with lines are the wicks that show rejection off a certain level. I am more interested in seeing what price did at a level than the level itself.

Now when looking for divergence in heavily correlated pairs I will use line charts set to the close. Even then I still will sometime look at candles due to the fact one pair could have made a higher high while the other failed but you will miss it by not seeing the rejection.

Is there an indicator which allows you to have a line graph AND a candlestick chart? like a line graph underneath?

moving average 1 , simple,close, White

Cheers mate, i feel a bit silly now as i never knew it was that simple

Baby steps Bro, Nothing is silly in this business, except maybe wearing a blindfold while trading, Thennnn you have silly,

That’s what I’m doing wrong… The force is not working!

Also, if you’re using metatrader you can quickly switch between chart types with alt+1 (and 2, 3 )

In answer to the original question, I’m pretty sure I could trade with a graph line since my strategy is robust enough, but candles give me more information so I trade with candlesticks, and besides they look nicer than a line graph.

I was going to trade with Renko charts. It seemed like it had some good logic to it. especially if you’re just looking for support and resistance levels on a swing or position basis.

It’s very old school, much like the line graph. I’m sure it can be traded, but it seems that if you have the wonderful technology we’re blessed with today, may as well use it. I do you the bar charts most times even though I know most use candlesticks, but a bar chart OHLC is prob as far old school as I’ll get

I look at the line chart often. I feel it gives me a better sense if direction. I use candlesticks to define entries and exits.

Have you considered a compass?
