You probably know how your system work dont you?! it is all there was! how come you do not know what you removed?!

What are you talking about?
I didn’t remove anything, and I didn’t flag your post. I don’t even know if I read it before it was deleted. We now cannot see your original post because of the Moderators so there’s no way for any members to know if the Moderators did the right thing or if you have been wrongly treated.
Unless you tell us.
Was there something else in your original post?

PS. I am not a Moderator.

Same happens to most of my post replies and i even tried contacting the support but no replies so far from them.

You may not be able to post the same content again, but what sort of content was in your deleeted posts?

Hello @VasilTodorov,

We understand your frustration, and we appreciate you speaking up. The post you replied to was actually made 19 years ago. As much as we’d love to revive every old discussion, we generally encourage members to join newer, more active threads instead so conversations can stay fresh and engaging.

We’re sorry for not making this clearer right away. Your concerns are valid, and we’ll continue doing our best to keep discussions fair and helpful for everyone.

Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Sincerely,

If you don’t want members to reply to posts made 19 years ago, why do you leave them on the website?

Hello @tommor.

You’re absolutely right to ask this. We keep older posts on the site because they often contain valuable information that members, especially beginners, can still learn from. Some topics are evergreen in nature and remain relevant even years later, so we keep them available for open discussion since they continue to provide value.

While we generally encourage members to start fresh discussions or join newer threads for more active engagement, responding to older ones is also perfectly fine, especially when the reply adds value to the conversation.

With that said, I want to sincerely apologize, @VasilTodorov. After reviewing your reply more carefully, it should not have been deleted. It was indeed helpful, and we truly appreciate the time you took to contribute. We’re sorry for the mix-up, and thank you for raising this! This helps us improve and better support the community.

Sincerely,

firstly, i would consider checking my website and how it lists a very old topic very high, second what is wrong with adding new information to a post that was created 19 years ago and absolutely noone gave it a correct answer? what the hell is wrong with that? why are so easy with scammers and advertisers and so hard against useful information?!

the topic you used does answer this question and it does in the most accurate way!

REGARDING OUR MODERATION EFFORTS
We don’t actively share stats on member posts we’ve deleted or edited to comply with our Forums Policy. We don’t share individual member information related to how many flags a member has accumulated or how many of that member’s posts we’ve deleted. We flag, edit, and delete posts manually and also use automation, based on a dynamic set of rules related to member behavior, posting characteristics and tendencies, and AI post-and-behavior reviews. We track and maintain those stats and actively monitor those privately, but we reference that information when making moderation decisions.

We’ve come to understand that members make mistakes as it relates to breaking rules, some done unknowingly, and some done knowingly. We don’t take a heavy hand when we don’t have to or when there’s the possibility that a member might contribute something valuable to the community in the future. But unfortunately, it often takes some time to make that determination. And spammers, at least in our experience, play the long game in making their true intentions known. We have accounts that are multiple years old that actively participate in the forums, engage the community, discuss trading as is expected, who then one day, years later, decide to spam the Forums with links or solicitations or some other commercial behavior. That’s nearly impossible to police.

And yes, we make mistakes - with flags, with edits, with post and user removals. But the power of our technology stack and our moderation philosophy is that we have the ability to right those wrongs and tell you about them, which we’ve done.

Now, we don’t actively share stats on spammer/bot/scammer account removals, so it’s impossible for members to have a clear picture of what happens behind the scenes because of our moderation efforts. So making claims that we don’t actively have the Forum’s best interest in mind as it relates to those types of accounts is inaccurate and frankly unfair. It’s easy to take another member’s word for it, or a handful of occurrences that support your position, but the data quite often provides us a different story, especially when we look at the data historically.

Shared in another discussion recently, we’ve removed over 12,000 such accounts, just in the Forums, since we upgraded to our new system in 2017 and countless accounts before that, before the upgrade going back another 10+ years. Since 2017, that roughly averages to about 4 removals a day, every single day, for 8 consecutive years . Most of that is manual, requiring human interaction, with a small fraction being done in some automated way.

It might not seem like anything is done to combat spam, bots and spammers, but that’s far from the reality.

Yea sure, we can see how useful your work is! Absolutely 0 misinformation absolutely 0 deceiving attempt 0 removal of useful content, you absolutely do this, good job lol

your moderators do not even answer a post or a question or a situation where the screw up!!! look at the comment above!

The moderator has literally responded to you above.

As for 0 work being done by our team, perhaps we should take a single account as an example.

This user has been flagged over 30 times and has had over 20 posts removed or edited, for various reasons related to Forums Policy violations.

A moderator has been involved in each of those post reviews.

By measures suggested by many users, this user’s account should be banned already.

We’ve deemed this member has contributed something educational in value to the community even with the deleted posts and some times insulting posts (feedback from other members).

Had we simply looked at the numbers, this member would already be banned. But because of our moderation efforts, that user is still with us.

We definitely can do better in decreasing our time to reply. But lots of work is done behind the scenes that you never see.

We always tell our existing members, if we’re not providing the value you expect, you should go elsewhere to find it.

Total boloney!

with your monitoring system, i expect this to be one of the least numbers, unless this user is advertising or spreading false information! these groups are the only ones safe from your absolutely non-logical so called “MODERATORS”!

LOL if that user started advertising and giving false information away his account would never go through so many reports LOL

Your effort is to fix the mess you made?! thats not called putting effort! thats called wasting time! you cant control your flagged clients, you cant even pretend to have some usage! in this section you are confirming me that your number of flagged removed or edited posts mean absolutely nothing!

And what makes you think that anyone cares about what you tell them? personally, i enjoy the users (real users) here and absolutely hate the moderation team! for absolutely clear reasons. I think of this forum just like an online game, nothing more! your thinking too high of ur self! you asking someone to leave here aint any more worthy than an npc dialogue! u know what i mean, right?!

Likely applies to us all, who cares much about your opinion or mine other than ourselves.

Indeed why shld we bother typing our thoughts on a forum - then again just maybe it’s a good thing to think aloud if that thinking can help somebody who happens to read - who knows?

I suspect venting on a forum helps few - but, again, you never know.
