Are offshore brokers a practical choice?

I’ve been exploring different brokers recently and I came across a few offshore brokers LMFX, Market101, DuraMarkets and more that offer higher leverage, low deposit fee and more flexibility compared to brokers in stricter jurisdictions. The deals look tempting, but I’ve also heard mixed opinions about offshore brokers. What’s your take on trading with offshore brokers? Worth it or too risky?

I’ve been trading with an offshore broker. What drew me in was spreads. Honestly, there has been no trouble as such. I make withdrawals quite often and they process without issues. That being said, I do my due diligence before choosing any broker, like checking their reputation and client reviews.

Yeah but make sure you checked their license, spreads and liquidity model (ECN, STP) before you start. This are crucial aspects which can profoundly impact your chances of success

Take a look at TD365
Funds held in escrow account at Barclays Bank London - no problems.

Offshore brokers can be tempting because of the low fees and high leverage but it also depends on the broker’s reputation and the risk you’re willing to take. Some are reliable whereas some have poor customer support. I would make sure they are regulated (even if offshore) and check reviews on public forums. If you decide to go with one, start with a small deposit.

I have come across many offshore brokers who don’t even offer what they show and advertise. It is important to do good research.

Well said, if you know you know. :+1:

Same here. I’ve had a good run with offshore brokers, especially since they are flexible with offerings like bonuses and account types. It’s nice not to feel restricted.

I agree with you all. Offshore brokers can be a great option if you know what you’re looking for. Just make sure they’re reliable and responsive to customer service and withdrawals.

I am with market101 atm. They have been reliable so far. Spreads are low, orders get executed fast and no delays while processing my withdrawals so I trust them.
Other than that, Hankotrade is also one better option. I’ve used them in the past. Their trading conditions are also promising.

Offshore brokers are evolving and becoming more competitive. There are so many good ones available nowadays like FxGlory, Coinexx, swaymarkets and the ones obviously you have already mentioned.

Looks like I’m on the right track in exploring offshore brokers. Thanks guys, first I’ll start small to test their reliability before going all in. Please keep the suggestions coming.

honestly im against anything that would restrict people from earning more (or loosing) at their own discretion tbh, but it would be wise to check actually experiences with the list of brokers, i did try LMFX, its not my main broker that i trade with but they do have good spreads on their pairs, and quick payouts/withdrawals. they offer a crypto dex too for a quick exchange.
