Do you think there are bad months for trading when you feel like it’s better to just step back and not trade?
Months where volatility is low me thinks. But idk that that can be identified as certain times of the year? Def for forex there was a time when there was no action. I feel like all action now is on crypto/stock market…
May, June, July are usually slow months in the stock market.
Why there’s the famous saying:
“Sell in May, and go away.”
If you’re trading off daily charts there are no inherently bad calendar months. If you take a daily chart for any pair and randomly select a 12mth period and cover over the dates, it will be impossible to tell if you’re looking at January-December or May-April or September-August.
I feel that around December the volaitility is low due to festive season so the spreads tend to get higher
