It’s almost Christmaaaas. Haha. :smiley: I’m so excited for the holidays! I just wanna go Christmas shopping and visit relatives in different parts of the country. :pray: Which would mean I might not be able to check my charts as much as I would want to in the next coming weeks. :sweat_smile: I still wanna open trades though so I’m gonna need to make time for it. :open_mouth: How about you guys? Are you trading the holidays? :blush:

Yes I do, December is one of my favorite month for trading! I am happy on it!

I trade indices now. My cheapest pair to trade though is AUDCHF

I don’t trade intra-day, I just use the D1 charts. Christmas and New Year’s D1 charts show no significant differences between these weeks and any others across the years, so I’ll be opening, holding and closing trades just as normal.

But spreads widen out when volume is low so I shall be extra-careful about leaving pending orders across holiday dates: I might even cancel them temporarily to avoid them triggering just due to crazy wide spreads.

Also, its worth noting how many years the end of the year shows major trend reversals. So its even more important to keep an eye on charts.

Indices are even cheaper. I noticed that nope commission is charged by the broker I use. So that is even better.

That makes sense. :open_mouth: Hmm. Now I’m reconsidering my initial idea of not opening any trades in the next couple of weeks. :thinking: The challenge will just be monitoring my charts while I’m celebrating. :sweat_smile: Thanks for this tommor!

I am actively trading as of now. But I will slow down as we get closer to the holiday season :blush: I will stay away from trading on Holidays or else I won’t be able to focus. But I tend to feel really lazy to come back to the charts after the holidays :joy: It’s like how we feel lazy about going back to school after a vacation.

Basically, I trust my process; if I get a good entry point according to my trading system then surely I’m going to use that opportunity!

I’m taking a nice 4 day weekend since Christmas is on Sunday. No trading at all those days. :christmas_tree:

Right?!?! That’s how I feel sometimes too. :sweat_smile: But I know we have to stay consistent so I still try to convince myself to trade even just a day after Christmas. :sweat_smile: Maybe not really open a trade already but at least check it out. :smiley:
