No doubt everyone has seen or heard of this new signal service. Just wondering what peoples thoughts are so far? I have been using it over the past 3 days and so far so good. However last night the server at their end crashed and now is having intermittent connection issues.
I also joined up a few days ago. Mostly positive trades. The only thing that is cause for worry is the lack of a stop loss. In my opinion you should ALWAYS have a stop loss, if only for the possibility of a computer crash. So I am still hesitant to trade with a normal lotsize (relative to the equity).
IMO It is still too early to tell. It has been introduced less than a month. The latest trades have led to an alarming DD (up to a 1000 pips). On other forums people are starting to get very nervous, and closing down the trades manually, with subsequent big losses. I for one have not completely dismissed this EA, but as mentioned before any trade should not be entered without a reasonable S/L. For an experienced trader no S/L would be a red flag, I guess. Someone suggested the use of a trade copier program, so you can enter the same trades as the real thing while adding your own S/L. I am experimenting with that. How much room should you give an EA? I hope it will filter out the bad trades.
This EA has taught me a lesson. Adding it immediately to my live account was a big mistake, I admit. Like any novice EA trader I was blinded by the initial success of this EA. Novice (gullible) traders let greed take over easily and still believe in the gazillion get-rich-quick schemes that you find on the internet. After this I will put a new EA at least 3 months on a Demo account before going live. It is funny, the longer I am in this Forex business, the more I tend to get conservative/risk-avoiding.
It is said that on average 95% of all beginning traders lose about 15.000 USD before they arrive at a decision point: quitting Forex alltogether or continue. I have decided to continue, but treat my live EA account as a savingsaccount. Set EA risk at minimum, and forget about it (if I can). I heard a professional trader say it would take a very succesfull trader 5-10 years to accumulate serious wealth (say 1 million USD), starting with 5k. I do not know if I will ever reach that point, but I am determined. :61:
again . .i repeat myself all over the forum … sorry … an EA that doesn’t disclose his trading strategy is a ticking time bomb… i think a ponzi is even more interresting at that point … at least you know you are going to be ripped of
Might wanna do some research on this one. Apparently they (like most others) faked their statements. Doesn’t mean it won’t be a good service, but definitely not a good start for them.
Someone has found out that the guy running this “service” has been stealing trades from 2 ZuluTrade top signal providers (SharperTrade and Shooting Pips). I checked this and it is is absolutely true! This guy is an ordinary thief, and his “never seen before” software is a trade copier program. He should go to jail for this.
The funny thing about this is I thought about doing the same thing Simply open a small live account, follow signals, use a trade copier EA and make your own signal provider combining the two. Only problem is it’s against the copyright on zulutrade which states that the trades must be your own etc etc etc.
I have been using a free trade copier to copy the trades of Autofxmillionaire (when I was still using it) from a demo account into my live account, and adding the much needed S/L. But you could use a copier for other purposes too. If your own EA has no built-in S/L, you could run it on a demo, add S/L and send it to live account.
As far as Zulutrade is concerned, I tried to warn them about this Matthew Burton scam, but his site is still up and running. Apparently they are not interested in someone stealing their signals. :o
The Sharp Trader guy from Zulutrade has made some mistakes, and has been downgraded by Zulutrade. Consequently autofxmillionaire has caused many accounts to have blown recently.
I stopped using Zulutrade a long time ago, because I found many of the signal providers (sp) there were causing me aggravation. I did not always agree with the signals provided by the selected sp’s, even the ones at the top. If a top sp messes up, Zulutrade just downgrades the sp to a lower ranking. The signal followers are left with huge losses. So I thought that I could do a better job, even by using an EA. I try to know my EA’s, at least that way I can predict how they will behave under extreme volatility.
Ok…so I’ve been checking on this SP for a couple of months and verifying all the info that you guys have been providing. I even actually used the service paying $37 and made good profits too. Is or Was he a scam? After in depth search the answer is YES! Fact is he was stealing the signals from Zulu. But on another hand, Zulu takes 1pip per trade into their pocket so in a month, that $37 was actually a better deal believe it or not!? Then again, that 1pip is split between the Zulu people and the actual SP…
Anyways…as of couple weeks ago, Auto FX is dead! Doesn’t allow to buy or auto renew … If anyone else can confirm this please do
