Those are just two terms for the same thing.
An EA aka a robot aka a bot is simply some lines of code, hopefully sufficiently smart to make some money.
This applies to ‘[I]automated trading[/I]’, at least; an EA can also be merely a tool to perform a task that isn’t normally a part of a trading platform’s functionality, like opening positions right from a chart or exceuting specialzied orders.
