Average directional index vs average directional movement index

Hi guys.
Pls is the Average Directional Index the same as the Average Directional Movement Index?
I’ve always seen Average Directional Index on babypips and other tutorial sites but it’s only Average Directional Movement Index I do see on my mt4 platforms.

ADX is a part of DMI system. DMI consists of three lines plotted on a chart as ADX, +DI and -DI.

Edit: Most people use only ADX just because the reading and understanding of +DI and -DI seems to be complicated and also provide whipsaws.
