Hi guys,
I would really appreciate some inpressions on this forex robot. I am finding all kind of reviews all over the net but could hardly trust any affiliate pages and would like to hear some real opinions.
I have purchased it and tested on Demo extensively on all three recommended pairs - EUR/USD, EUR/CHF and USD/CHF. Results are pretty impressive but still afraid live trading might appear somewhat different.

I see you bought BORN Nightowl, I’ve been interested in that EA, but it is difficult to get a feel for these things as they always claim such crazy results. As an actual user, would be great to know if you recommend it?

RE VPS, I use Netcetera (assuming you are in the UK). Find out from your broker where is the physical location of their servers and chose a VPS as near as possible (same country is good). Also, try to choose Windows 2008 over 2003 and try to avoid companies that reboot their servers every week end. (all my opinions)
I was also interested in this EA. Could you post a link to your myfxbook or MT4i if you have one?

I just purchased this EA over the weekend. Setting it up on my demo for a while to see what it can do. I’ll add some input as I gather some to give.

Currently been running SmartFX EA’s exclusively. Once I get a trade or two going of the “B.O.R.N. Night Owl” EA’s I’ll label the magic number for custom analysis. I think I’ll need to tweak the settings some but I’ll post them here as well as MyFXBook.

No trades as yet. Instructions say it trades only at night (GMT) so we’ll see. I’ll give it a couple nights to get a trade in before becoming concerned.

Tradingshed, I know this might be of interest to you. The Demo account that I put this EA on is also testing Smartfx EA’s. The BORN Night Owl EA gives errors such as “B.O.R.N Night Owl AUDUSD,M5: Trade context was busy 0.00 seconds”. I emailed BORN support and their response was “Do you have any other EAs trading on the same account? It sometimes happens that some of them quite “selfishly” occupy the trade context for themselves only this not allowing other programs to operate correctly.” I emailed SMARTFX asking if there is any setting that can be done on their EA’s. I haven’t received a response yet so I’m going to disable the SMARTFX EA’s and use the account exclusively for BORN. I’m running the SMARTFX live anyway so no big deal. This is post can just be taken as informational purposes.

I’m also running BORN in live mode since friday last week and it only made 2 trades with 2 small losses. Nothing to worry about. But since Monday it seems stopped but I wasn’t worried because I know this is a slow mover but after your post I just confirmed that I have a few messages informing that “Trade context is busy more than 0.00 seconds”.
I’m running Born with MegaDroid and MDP and no way I’m gonna deactivate them to let Born work.
I’ve also confirmed that that message only appears (in the same second) when one of the other robots do any kind of action (buy, modify) and never appears by itself.
I am very interested! IN fact I am observing a similar behavior recently. I am investigating. Smart FX did not trade at all on one of my accounts (only 1) all day yesterday due to “context busy”.
However, this is a problem I am only getting with Hot Forex, not my other broker.
After removing SmartFX EA’s yesterday I did get 3 trades in. With a net loss. But it’s only been one night. I’ll let it work and comment after I get an opinion. I am irritated that the two EA’s won’t play with each other. It makes things difficult. Would have been nice to get a reply from SmartFX. I wasn’t asking them to fix a competitors EA. Just wish they could show a little insight on the problem that has their EA associated with it. Let me know if you find any information on the context busy issue. I’ve only seen it in this instance.

I don’t think the context busy is an EA related issue. I have a couple of EAs that keep posting it while they are trying to place pending orders and they always manage after a couple of retries. In my case I do not think it is SFX related. Did you resolve yours?
Do you have any results from the EA (I know I am following you on SFX, I forgot it was you…)
Sorry I haven’t been paying much attention to it. I’ve been cheering on the SmartFX EA’s 
I will take a closer look this weekend but so far it has dropped the demo account .83%. It is still showing the context busy issue though. I have it trading exclusively with ForexRealProfitEA eval. Sorry busy week for me. I’ll try to address this a little better this weekend.

The account you follow is only SmartFX. The account I have BORN Night Owl is my demo account. I’ll put a link below. Sorry I haven’t reported on this. To be quite frank I’m not impressed with this EA. It has made some bad trades compared to the few good ones. I’m sorry I can’t break it down more than that. Maybe you can see what I’m saying by doing a custom analysis.
By the way, this demo account was built up by SmartFX before I introduced B.N.O. B.N.O. is running exclusively with ForexRealprofit EA. BNO has been dragging the account down.
