Back Testing a Indicator

Hi,
I just want to find out how do I back test an Indicator. Watched a few videos on indicators and back testing your trading system. Can not find many that tells you how to Back Test a Indicator that you will be using in your system.

Watched 3 videos on MT4 Back Testing. Is this the only way and all there is to it. Would appreciate some feedback on this topic as to, the best way to Back Test a Indicator that I find, to see if its worth using it or if its just rubbish.

I find Tradingview is far superior for backtesting. You can actually ‘delete’ candles then replay them one at a time with their replay feature. All free.

You will have to scroll the charts on the trading platform you have been using to the previous period and then, go forward, bar by bar.
