Firstly. Awesome site. Congratulations on brilliant content and amazing layout. Flawless!
I’m new to trading but its highly addictiv. Like crack for the mind i suppose. I have two main questions.
====> Is trading forex gambling because everything i have read so far is ambigous?
Whats a good platform?
I’m currently using Saxo Trader 2 demo account and it seems very good. I’m from the UK so does anyone know this. If i open an account with easy-forex and deposit some funds will i be instantly hit with a currency exchange??? If so how do i use an American trading platform without having to loose money whilst depositing funds???

I’ve been scouting around today for brokers and i believe i have found a good solution. Alpari is UK based and it uses the famous metatrader 4 platform. On top of that it has micro accounts available…
I am not really familiar with foreign account exchange rate questions, but I would definately demo for a few months with any broker before depositing funds. You really need to see if you like the platform first and also need to develope a certain level of confidence in your trading strategy. You don’t want it to feel like “gambling”, it is not even close to gambling once you have certain skills learned.
Well I can certainly say that Forex is not Gambling IMO, however it can appear that way if you have no idea what you are doing or having any sort of money strategy, then it will be a gamble. I luckly have found babypips, and pride it for its honesty and help. Like Bizbad said, you should demo for awhile to you have strategic plans before deposited real money into account. Also try as many demo accounts out there, and get comfortable with different platforms and charts.
I have been Forex trading for 18 months now, all demo, and I still feel that I am not quite ready yet. But that is me, however this venture that you may take is not a get rich quick scheme, so I hope you take the time to learn the basics and study every possible method or tactic out there before using real loot. I also recommend that you contact the Account Reps for whom ever you choose to broker with, and ask them the questions of what the rates and charges may apply. This business is risky, and may feel a bit like gambling.
