Or complete the entire course, then create the the demo account?

That is best, providing you are completing the courses. There is no short cut to eventual success.

Absolutely. Do both. It takes time and practice to become familiar with order types, price chart set-ups, etc.
Use the demo account to trial out what you’re learning about from the course and other sources. Don’t expect to invent a unique personal strategy - find some simple strategies and trial them. Its free.
