Unfortunately TradeStation will be discontinuing their free platform access for Forex testing. I found their backtesting and optimization tools to be extraordinary… specifically, the ability to input a range of variables for a given strategy and have it run hundreds of tests at once.
What is the recommended alternative? I am in the US, so a platform that is also linked to a brokerage account would be ideal for smooth implementation.
I want to be able to code my own strategies and output results to Excel for analysis.

You can try different approaches:
- as US citizen, you can get Thinkorswim OnDemand (perfect platform linked to TD Ameritrade brokerage account).
- special backtesting software like Forex Tester (it works without the connection to account, providing the wide range of testing tools).
- TradingView testing…I heard something about it, but fortunately have no ideas how exactly it works.
