Well hi guys i’m new to forex and i’ve been playing about with a few systems for about 6 months on Oanda. I’ve recently decided that my main plan will be in general around Harmonics so i’ve found a problem you can’t modify your fib retracements on Oanda as far as i can see. I’ve also tried alpari which i’ve found that you can modify the retracements but i just don’t like there basic platform i find it quite unfriendly in comparison with Oanda so any pointers with what brokers they use or if its possible to modify the fibs on Oanda i would be very grateful. Many Thanks Lawrence
Try using Metatrader, it’s a very popular platform amongst traders. You can also use freestockcharts.com too which is good.
Ok i have looked at a few metatrader platforms but i don’t really like them but i’ll be having a look at the freestockcharts.com and hopefully that will help me out. Cheers for taking the time to reply best of luck in the coming week with your trading.
MT4 is a good platform in drawing harmonic patters.
You can check out more information on harmonics here Harmonic series part 1 - YouTube
I also prefer freestockcharts.com. If you don’t like Mt4 this is a very good option. But there are paid ones as well if you can afford.
There is no such thing as a good broker for learning anything. It is not your brokers responsibility to teach you how to trade, it is their job to give you access to markets. I think you referred more to trading platform in which case most brokers offer the same platform to retail traders which is MT4 or you can find some offering cTrader or Unitrader.
Yeah i was more talking about modifying the fib retracements which isn’t a possibility so i could work out patterns easier but never mind i’ll find my way through practice and dedicacation where there is a will is way
What exactly do you want to do? MT4 is rather simple as far as adjustments are concerned and not a bad place for retail traders.
