Hey there! I am semi-new to forex trading and I am just trying to learn the ropes currently. I am trying to practice paper trading on oanda. Since I’m new, I am starting simple with a basic sma crossover strategy.
I have seen different charts that aggregate the metrics in 1m ticks, 5min ticks, etc. I am currently looking at a “live tick” feed from oanda’s API, and I was wondering what are some good SMA pair indicators to use for live feeds?
I have seen people recommend 20/50, 9/20, etc for the 1m/5m ticks, but I wasn’t sure where to start for the live ticks.
Also, any other crossover strategy tips or wisdom would be greatly appreciated!! Like I said, I’m new!
