Which forex players move the market the most? The banks? How do banks trade currencies?
I suggest that in order to make things easier on you and the rest of us, you simple make one post that asks, “Explain everything about forex to me.” We can then refer you to Babypips school and Pipcrawlers favorite trading books.
You really don’t need to post every simple question as a separate post in every area.
There are 5 main players in the forex market:
Traders: They are mainly in trades for the short term. They follow various systems. They also have a wide range of skill, knowledge, resources, and commitment. They are your risk takers.
Governments: Long term enablers of national, regional, or global economic goals. Market disrupters.
Corporations: They are mostly interested in treasury management and are long term players. They actively hedge.
Investment Funds: Long term trend followers with high levels of skill, resources, knowledge, and commitment. These entities are your risk avoiders.
Banks: Credit suppliers to corporations, governments, banks, funds, and subordinate forex players. They are market makers.
Happy pipping,
The big player of course is the market itself, it only reacts to what the supposed other players do. All the players only react to each other and the way the market moves up or down is reflected in that. So you might as well have asked what is forex?
I think is not a bad question, is good to know what are the players in forex market, I didnt know the grade of importance in this, and thanks to GBLilleyUSMC we all know now.
Thanks, that info is good to know. You see guys, like us are a lot around the world.
