Very informative video.
Isn’t it already is an alternate form of money? for the last decade plus, It’s not the only alternate, but it’s one of the alternates. We’ve been using it as money for a decade+ time now.

Maybe, the scale of growth and expansion has slowed down a bit. But I wouldn’t say it wouldn’t become an alternative form of money at all. Because, to agree with Nick’s point, it somehow already is.

He brings up a lot of good points (underlying use value, fluctuating prices, upcoming heavy regulation). Curious about the digital dollar he’s peddling though.
